If libertarians were a high school clique they'd be goth kids. They may think they scare everyone but they are really just irrelevant. Sorry.
My main point is that you have to provide some redress for institutional exclusion. and if race has been the factor of excluding it should be considered in the solution.
So it is a messy solution. The problem is you aren't really after a solution. You are just looking out for yourself.
Sniveling liberals? Please. The snivelers are these people who whine and cry like you are taking their one good kidney if you expect them to help people out a bit. We all benefit from the labor of other people. And we are all rich by pre-industrial standards so stop whining. Since the exploitation of cheap energy put capitalism in high gear and capitalism's natural tendency to polarize wealth, I support progressive taxation. In fact I believe that the only purpose of government is to redistribute wealth. I also consider this relevant to the energy issues on this board.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')nd Illegal is ILLEGAL!
Hardly sticking to your libertarian guns there.
Anyway, I'm not making an argument about legislation. I'm making an argument about people. People who snivel and whine every time they see someone else benefitting are just crybabies. People who rant about how they are afraid of Mexicans are just timid assholes.
The money you made was never yours. You accumulated it in the cradle of the society around you. You owe some of it back in an increasing proportion to the amount you made.
Legislation would be allowed to be more general and non-race based if there was enough tax revenue to go around. Since all the freaking libertarians vote it down you have to start doling it our more selectively.
