FBI: Violent crime drops, reaches 1970s level
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'U')S violent crimes including murders fell 4.4 percent in 2013 to their lowest number since the 1970s, continuing a decades-long downturn, the FBI said on Monday.

The law enforcement agency's annual Crime in the United States report showed the country had an estimated 1.16 million violent crimes last year, the lowest number since 1.09 million were recorded in 1978.

All types of violent crimes were lower, with murder and non-negligent manslaughter off 4.4 percent to 14,196, the lowest figure since 1968. Rape was down 6.3 percent and robbery fell 2.8 percent, the Federal Bureau of Investigation data showed.

“It’s non-disprovable, which in the world of science is supposed to mean it’s a non-starter,” said Jack Sava, director of trauma care at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Just because you aren't smart enough to disprove something doesn't mean that it's non-disprovable.

Talk about "have you stopped beating your wife yet". Sheesh. "You can't disprove it so it's not scientific". :-P

First you tell people that you can't disprove something (where's your proof about that?) then you try to make it seem wrong because of that.

How many logical fallacies can you cram into one statement?

If the so-called health care (really "illness exploitation") people could figure out how to make money off of this they would have it enshrined in the media for everyone to be instructed to believe. As-is it's can't be true because there's no $$$ behind it.

They practically have a heart attack when the mere mention of a "cure" is brought to light (except as bait for more money like "race for the cure" where no cure will actually result, just another round of fleecing). Then there are secret meetings where amphitheaters of them cheer to the announcements of the newest chronic conditions, their cash cows.

The medical profession is the only one with such deeply ingrained conflicts of interest (your health vs. their bank accounts) exist that they are invisible let alone questioned.

Meanwhile, The Young Turks pick up on the story linking lead poisoning to violent crime. http://youtu.be/c3eaG_PB5ZU
