$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'R')epublicans have been making the slightly incoherent argument that a) the sequester, which is a bad thing, is entirely Obama’s fault, b) Obama is exaggerating how bad the sequester will be, and c) the sequester, which is Obama’s fault, is preferable to not having the sequester.
a) Entirely his fault, no, but he DID sign off on it;
b) Exaggerating the effects, YES. ALL of us whom pay taxes have received a 2% across-the-board reduction in take-home-pay, and, as far as I can tell. nobody has died; and now with a 3% reduction for the Goberment, planes will not fly, borders will not be protected, and aircraft carriers cannot be deployed. PLAAASSSSEEEEEE!
c) Yes, the sequester will be better because, at some time (and the sooner the better), you have to stop the bleeding, IF you want the patient to live.
