$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('k_semler', 'I') meant Comrade Hillary, not Slick Willie.
Hey, K_Sem, let's just go back to the days when there were no labor laws so that the guys who own all the capital can pay us $1/hr, no benefits, and work us as many hours a day as they want.
The answer to society's problems is not a single 'ism. The answer is a combination of -ism's, and no one wants to destroy capitalism.
We current have a capistalistic republic--based on the tenets of democracy--with a slew of social programs and laws to avoid the pitfalls of pure capitalism.
Moderation is the key going forward. The capitalists have the concentration of wealth and power right now. For a democracy to work, the people as a whole have to have some of the power.
Take a look at our elected representatives in the House and Senate, plus the current administration. It's a millionaires' club.
