$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Ludi', 'I') think the folks who had babies here are likely to stay, but those who have come here to send money back home are, I think, more likely to return home to be with their families.

I wish I could find some stats to see what the breakdown is. My gut thinks the "baby" contingent is the vast majority of illegals in the US. That's how they become immune from deportation, after all.

You might be right. It certainly makes sense. I'll see what I can come up with in the way of stats on this.

"one of an estimated 300,000 children of illegal immigrants born in the United States every year, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. They're given instant citizenship because they are born on U.S. soil, which makes it easier for their parents to become U.S. citizens.
That's because those babies can eventually sponsor their parents - when they turn 21 years old. "
story
"As of 2003, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services put the number at 7 million. Since then, United States immigration officials have said the number has grown by as much as 500,000 a year.

Those closest to the fight to protect US borders say the figure is higher. The US Border Patrol union Local 2544 in Tucson, Ariz., says the total number of illegal immigrants in the US today is between 12 million and 15 million."
story
So, yep, looks like well over half have "anchor babies"

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('trespam', 'T')his is a great thread. Any other apocalyptic movies we should consider. It's a different concept, and a bit silly at times, but I still like the premise of 12 monkeys.
And Silent Running. Wow. I saw that quite a few times when I was a kid and it just made me think and think and think. But I have no idea whether I'd like it now.

We will soon have the KING of all post apocalyptic movies , just wait for it. The Road

POOP BURGER: Japanese Researcher Creates Artificial Meat From Human Feces
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')Some hardcore carnivores have a hard time finding meat alternatives such as soy protein or tofu burgers to be palatable. But non-meat eaters may lose their appetite along with their carnivorous friends over this one – a meat alternative made from HUMAN EXCREMENT. Yep, you heard me correctly — Japanese scientist Mitsyuki Ikeda has developed a “burger” made from soya, steak sauce essence, and protein extracted from human feces. Hit the break for a video explaining the process!

Ya know... I could have gone my whole life without knowing that, and probably been a better man for it to.
