http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7917696/ This is quite eerie considering that if you've read Monte's book (Madmen at the Helm), he talks about this happening.

You'll have to refresh my memory on what Monte said Omar. Would also help the people who have not read his book. :)

It's amazing to see how both the yanks and the brits know everything about Saddam's underwear, but are too s!ssy to discuss the illegality of their war, the lies which led to it, and the billions of theft committed by their leaders.

Truly amazing. Surreal.

He said that scandals and photos like these will "prove" that the leaders we were/at war with are depraved (sexually or otherwise) individuals.

You are right on my friend! Here we have a group of expert magicians doing their misdirection trick on the masses. Since Omar brought up Monte's book, I would repeat this once again stating that anyone who hasn't read Madmen at the Helm, please PM MonteQuest for a copy right away.

This book is the quickest way to cut through the crap and get to know who the ruling elite are and how they are shaping international politics. These power brokers triangulate beyond national boundaries and governments. Monte presents some amazing revelations through his research. It is an unbiased, yet critical look spanning the history of the World Wars to the present day - a very different perspective from mainstream historians.

After you read his book, you will watch in horror and amazement how the agenda of the global elite is advancing as planned - almost like reading off a script.

The need for misdirection is very obvious. This nonsense is front page news on major newspapers and tabloids in a frantic attempt to erase the public memory of the bitch slapping the two US senators received by the courageous straight talking George Galloway.

The Neo-Cons are in damage control mode. Hide the truth by diverting attention to sleaze. Standard Modus Operandi.

George Galloway Testimony is scrubbed from the Senate Committee on Homeland Security.

As you can see Galloway's Testimony generated overwhelming public support on Democratic Underground and Daily Kos

I always figured Sadaam was a boxers guy. haha
And lorenzo, come on man. They don't need to talk about it, they wave it in our face with this type of garbage. They've set the American people up to be hated and they'll dance off into the sunset while we're stuck fending off the raving hoardes. I'm not saying we can't be blamed, at large, for our complacency, but half of us didn't vote for the neo-nuttsos. We have stood by as this administration has alienated us from the world, and mark my words- when the heads role, the Dubya possie will have gotten the hell out of Dodge.

I work at an old folks home in laundry/housekeeping. I don't have to care for them, (thank god), but I still have to see it.

The linked blog raises a very interesting memory of mine. About four years ago I worked for an Iraqii. He grew up there during the Iraq/Iran war and often spoke about the numerous doubles. With the billions the real Sadaam made looting his country, I'd be amazed if he wasn't gone long before our invasion. I was told his sons had doubles as well. They probably haven't been in country for years. The poor schmuck in the hole was probably hiding because he couldn't afford to get his face fixed back. This whole thing's been a sham since day one! It's all crap!

Saddam's defence

Unread postby Jake_old » Wed 19 Oct 2005, 09:53:25

He's questioning the legitimacy of the court as it has been set up under US occupation. Understandable.

The Independence of Iraqi judges. Understandable paranioa.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I')raqi officials say the only charge against Saddam Hussein, so far, is the killing of more than 140 men in the mostly Shia village of Dujail after a failed 1982 assassination attempt against him.

Mr Ani told the BBC that the defence will argue that those killed had been found guilty under Iraq's laws and Saddam's only role was to sign their death warrants - in the same way that George W Bush signed 152 death warrants while he was governor of Texas

That too seems an understandable complaint.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting the crazy despot, I just find it very interesting.

This is the best bit.....

He was the head of state at the time and therefor he is immune from prosecution. WTF 8O . If he gets away with that then it doesn't matter a bit what he did while in power.

Anyway. Guilty or Innocent?

President Jalal Talabani has announced that he will not sign a death warrant for Saddam. The Kurds are relectant to piss off the Sunnis. Maybe they could just bring him over here to the US and he could be made a cellmate of Manuel Noriega. The two of them could while away the days talking about the good old days when they had absolute power before Uncle Sam brought them down.

The only thing that worried me is that I read that the remaining 11 accusation maybe won't be discussed before court if he is found guilty (and sentenced to death) on the first one...

How convenient! So all the dirt from the time when he shook hands with Rumsfeld stays under the carpet...

Well, maybe there will be a "Jack-Ruby-moment" at some point anyway...
