$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Daniel_Plainview', '
')It's a good thing we have Xeno to help us avoid groupthink ... We should be paying him a consulting fee for his invaluable services ...

The problem is he uses the same arguments to disrupt the groupthink every time. So what's the point? He makes his stale "many-peaks" argument, and we respond with the same counter-argument every time.

If he really wants to challenge us, he needs to throw a curveball now and then.

Bingo Mos! The only reason I waste my time is to show the fallacy of the "many peaks" garbage argument. It requires no thought and only optimism to agree with.

For me it's kind of like the 9/11 stuff. I spend time on it not for the argument but to provide fuel for others to find the answers themselves, and there are plenty of answers to the "questions". Just as with Peak Oil, if you are willing to accept the true picture with as little bias as possible it becomes readily apparent that mankind is already dealing with the consequences of decline. The future does not look like a happy one for those of us who can understand what the scale and scope of decline means.
