Another comment, I read lots of old “how to” books. Currently “Shop Work On The Farm” from the forties. Recently, “Small Scale Grain Raising” from the 1970’s “back to the land” movement.
I’ve said before that the “Little House” books are great if you read with an eye to practical matters. I read those to my grandkids and we all learned something.
The legitimate object of government, is to do for a community of people, whatever they need to have done, but can not do, at all, or can not, so well do, for themselves -- in their separate, and individual capacities.
