$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'J')rob & supplyguy, I have every so often in my life met people who don't listen to music, and I've always wondered......how is that possible?
It's kind of complicated. See, I have been listening to music since I was about 12 or 13. It was only a few years ago when I began "listening" to music.
In my early years, I listened to whatever was popular on the radio. Whether it was pop, crap rock or my short and shameful love of rap. As I matured into a high school underclassman, I would only listen to hard rock (STP, who I still love), metal or rap-metal like Kid Rock and Korn

. Later on, I went through this rather odd religious phase. I started listening to some shitty bands like Creed and POD. Finally, my around the beginning senior year, I began seriously listening to music. It started with the White Stripes. The reason being is that their music contains such a variety of influences spanning generations of rock n' roll and blues. I installed a cable internet connection in my room, so I was able to sample and discover all kinds of music -stuff that I couldn't hear on mainstream radio. I developed an affinity for garage punk through music sites and Little Steven's Underground Garage Rock radio program. Currently, I am going backwards, trying to find some older, more seasoned bands like the MC5.
