Yeah the same thing has happened in the USA. When I was a kid just a vacation from one side of Michigan to the other end would get you different independent restaurants with different food choices. Now everywhere is Taco Bell and Burger King and Chick Filet. The same thing with music, when I was a kid the "Motown Sound" style came out of Detroit and Dixieland Jazz came from down south and Rock and Roll came from California or Memphis while Country came from all over the Midwest. Now its almost all concentrated in California or Nashville, Tennessee, then poured back over us. Heck from the 1960's through the 1980's we had a string of UK, Australian, Canadian, even Norwegian/Swedish/German bands that made it big selling music in the USA. Now it all sounds so much alike its hard to tell where anyone comes from because the lowest common denominator is the most certain road to profit.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Alfred Tennyson', 'W')e are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

This is what I actually think about the internet. We are sold on it opening up a world of choice and knowledge and yet we are all streamed down and out this same homogenized digital anus.
Patiently awaiting the pathogens. Our resiliency resembles an invasive weed. We are the Kudzu Ape
