As a species we have been anything but intelligent given our devastatingly grim predicament currently. Oh yes remember that scene Sparky, so sad all beings wish to live despite the arduous nature of existence.

I've watched the movie Blade Runner many times. Great flick. There are levels of existence that are indeed arduous as onlooker as pointed out. But still we persist in trying to find meaning in it. I reject the notion we are just smart apes but something rather unique. At least to this planet.
