I read the whole thing, he doesn't have a point at all expect the blame trap. The whole thing can be summed up as follows -

There's lots of death and hardship coming, so I'll make myself feel better by assigning blame in a rediculous conspiricy theory. It's not my outragous overconsumption that has caused this, but a mysterious nameless global "elite" who control the laws of physics. (note: must bash Mike Ruppert at every turn as HE is in with the evil conspiritors.)

He's a very frightened man trying to assign blame.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('mekrob', ' ')I don't think they will try to make this a police state.

Haliburton is awarded contract to build detention facilities

US Army Civlian Inmate Labor Program

New technology for crowd control

i don't believe everything that Dave McGowan (or anyone for that matter) says. But if you spend any amount of time on his web site, you will see that he always provides factual sources and he is far from a lunatic. i disagree with his peak oil theories because no matter who is planning what or not--we simply cannot continue exponentially growing no matter where the oil comes from and who is manipulating it. we just can't continually increase how much we pump out in a day ad infinitum. all signs point to the peak happening right about now-ish. it doesn't make a difference why or how. it's happening. i let reality be my guide...

We will know soon enough I fear,
"exponential growth is not sustainable ecologically or economically in a capitalist structure."

The present system is about to collapse, peak oil is inevitable, now imagine you are a global elitist and know this, what plans do you put in place, remember you are the alpha male and there is no place for you in a utopian society. ie you have no interest in peace and harmony just ensuring your own position as top dog. Apply this line of thought to current events....
(no loyalty to nation, religion or even ideology, purely focus on maintaining and increasing your power)

if i were a global elitist, i would have known this for years--probably since i was old enough to be educated. my family would have been in control of the formation of world events for countless generations. a plan would be constantly evolving... i would not be reacting to the development of events--i would be controlling the development of events.

Almost, no-one is all powerful, your game plan must be flexable and adapt to events you can't control, so it is also re-active, a loose game plan with a clearly defined goal.

The main thing is once you look at things in this context... world events and the manipulation of these event start to make logical
sense.

#deconstructionist, I agree with you.. this was aimed at others,
#hiding peak oil fits perfectly with this reasoning, you don't have to worry about opposition/compitition if it collapses from within, as will most countries who have not planned for both peak oil and global climate change, hence the neo-con push to worsen the impact of both, thin out the herd, what did Levi Strauss say? "get rid of those useless eaters"
create chaos in the middle east, without oil profits their population will reduce and their ability to use any oil themselves, a few well placed forts , castles and kings, peasants and surfs.
###you only need a huge population if you intend to continue the present economic model,
####Labour... work done..we have technology now.. less peasants needed... just an idea :)
