Luke is the first person in Canada to run for a political position on a peak oil campaign. He ran in the most recent provincial election in British Columbia in Canada for the Green Party. He said that he is disturbed by the fact that no government has any plans whatsoever for peak oil and he expects it will be chaotic when peak oil does hit. Although he didn’t win his riding, he raised the issue many times and had ads in newspapers stating that the number one issue is energy depletion.
