Venezuela Descends Into Chaos… Europe and US Next

VENEZUELA DESCENDS INTO CHAOS… EUROPE AND US NEXT - THE DOLLAR VIGILANTE

It has been less than two months since I visited Caracas, Venezuela. While things were already very bad when I was there, they are now worse.

Venezuela Hospital - The Dollar VigilantePower shortages have deepened (and this in an oil rich country!); food is becoming scarce (some people have resorted to eating dogs and cats); people lie on concrete slabs in hospitals without medicine (if you thought medical care was bad, just wait until it’s free!); and riots and looting are growing worse.

I went to see the end stages of socialism, complete with hyperinflation. I wanted to see where Europe and the US are headed.

In hindsight, it was shocking to see how few people in Venezuela understood what was going on.  You’d think in this day and age, they’d just watch a few Youtube videos (like some of ours) and realize the reality: Almost all their problems are a direct result of government and central banking.

Yet, hardly anyone understood.  Your average person was miserable, that was for sure.  But they didn’t know what was causing their misery.

I didn’t find much interest in gold and silver, let alone much buying, even though it was obviously a good idea.  And, forget bitcoin. No one knew what it was… except for the government that predictably has banned it.

Bizarrely, large parts of Caracas still hang pictures of Hugo Chavez and still consider him to be a hero!

I met a few people who were open to rational discussions. They were making about about $20 a month and could barely survive.

“Why don’t you go somewhere else?” I asked them. “Colombia is close.  And Trinidad & Tobago,  Aruba,  Argentina or Chile.  All with economies that are functioning and sometimes doing very well.”

The general response was, “I don’t know anyone there.”

Very strange. Why choose to live in squalor and desperation just because the environment is familiar to you?

This is a mentality I often see in America.  Elsewhere, too.  Stressed, people have a tendency to live like serfs, never venturing far from their birthplace.

It’s really not necessary in this era of the internet. Spend five minutes on Facebook and you know some people.

In fact, our global reach includes  TDV Groups (also known as the Vigilante Expat Network).  If you’re a subscriber, you can converse with other dollar vigilantes anywhere in the world. They are a great bunch. I know from experience, they’ll practically pick you up at the airport and help you get situated if you decide to visit or move.

TDV Groups

It’s just one of the many benefits of being a Dollar Vigilante newsletter subscriber (see more here).

The scary thing about Venezuela is that all the conditions already exist, and are nearly the same, in Europe right now.  And the only difference between where the US is headed and Venezuela, is the US hasn’t outlawed guns… yet.  Otherwise whatever I saw and experienced in Venezeula was already familiar to me from my travels in the US and Europe. (It’s one reason I got out and went to live in Acapulco.)

I was in Venezuela seven years ago and it was generally fine.  A beautiful place to visit full of bustling shops, restaurants, bars and hotels.  Two months ago when I returned, I was visiting the murder capital of the world. As I wrote, we had to carry backpacks of money to pay for lunch at the few restaurants that were open. We were told to not wear sunglasses or use our mobile phones or we’d get robbed. Our hotel barricaded the doors at night to keep criminals out.

Venezuela: Meet the destiny of Europe and the US.

Both Europe and the US are already tumbling further into socialism.  Nearly half of all millennials in the US say they like socialism over capitalism.

Just look at Joseph Stiglitz, the Nobel Prize winner in Economics (Keynesian/Globalist economics that is), who is one of the most respected economists in the US… He wrote The Price of Inequality and, excuse me as I hold back from vomiting, Making Globalization Work.  He’s also the former vice-president of the World Bank.

“Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez appears to have had success in bringing health and education to the people in the poor neighborhoods of Caracas, to those who previously saw few benefits of the countries oil wealth,” he said.

In his latest book “Making Globalization Work,” Stiglitz argues that left governments such as in Venezuela, “have frequently been castigated and called ‘populist’ because they promote the distribution of benefits of education and health to the poor.”

“It is not only important to have sustainable growth,” Stiglitz continued during his speech, “but to ensure the best distribution of economic growth, for the benefit of all citizens.”

And, look at this tweet from one of the top politicians in England from only three years ago!

Jeremy Corbyn Chavez Venezuela Tweet - The Dollar Vigilante

The West is headed the way of Venezuela. In fact, it’s all part of the Globalist one world socialist government plan being quickly put into place this Jubilee Year.

You can see it in Europe, where unrestrained Islamic immigration is being aimed at creating chaos within established cultures. And in the US, where the possibility of a Hillary victory would firmly establish a Venezuela-style paradise.

This Jubilee Year is all about putting in place the final foundation for the world’s oncoming globalism. Venezuela is just a little bit ahead of the curve. For a video on this Jubilee Year and its growing damages, please see HERE. And for our White Paper, please see HERE.

I had the opportunity to interview one of the only anarcho-capitalists in Venezuela for my program, Anarchast.  It took us nearly two months to put it live because I insisted on paying Daniel to translate it. It took him nearly two months because of the nearly constant power outages.

Have a look at this conversation I had with one of the few people in Venezuela who understands economics. See how quickly things fall apart under socialism and how the US, Europe, and many other places in the West are not far behind following Venezuela’s path:

The guy who wrote this article is obviously a nutcase, & really does not understand socialism, which is an umbrella term, & one size does not fit all. Have you been to Denmark or the other Scandinavian countries? They are prosperous, take care of their people, safe, clean, progressive, & beautiful places to live or visit. No comparison here with Venezuela. Live in Acapulco? You must be crazy. It is one of the murder capitals of the world. Bon voyage.

Um… when was this EVER considered a “socialist paradise”??? The Norse countries are socialist success stories. Australia to some extent (yes, healthcare can be even BETTER when it’s low-cost (it’s never free); I’ve experienced it firsthand.)
This article is incredibly ignorant of everything socialism is, and using a third-world country to demonstrate it’s failure is absolutely ridiculous. It’s like using Iraq’s implosion as an example of why democracy sucks. It has nothing to do with the type of government and EVERYTHING to do with where the country is developmentally.

Venezuela didn’t descend into chaos, although a lot of people are taking advantage of the refugee status to come to the US and get plenty of benefits. Also, you don’t get to know someone on Facebook after five minutes. That’s a good way to become another statistic on a missing persons report.

Another uS neo-liberal shill? Doing his part to help bring those nasty venezuelans to heel?

O Btw, how many people in the ghettos of the amerikan empire eat out of garbage cans to survive? I bet the number is a lot higher than we know, or can know. I seriously doubt all this uS neo-con generated hysteria about people eating cats and dogs is even true.

Sounds an awful lot like, “babies being thrown out of incubators” kind of story. How long before corporate propaganda in the uS begins calling for a ‘humanitarian intervention’ to save all those poor people? Not that the uS’s *current* ‘humanitarian’ ROLF, efforts elsewhere are helping anyone. Besides Cheny, the CRF and their ilk that is.

Please never publish utter rubbish, and never consider yourself better to everyone else.
Socialism is about sharing and the Nordic countries that practice sharing are the wealthiest countries in the world. The wages here are twice of that in the US and the standard of living another league.
Chavez had a dream and a vision and used a name for this. At one point he and his followers fell prey to what is common in the US: uninhibited greed. Until that happen, Venezuela made huge leaps, after that, the disease spread, unlike cancer this is contagious and infect all levels of society. The result can be observed in Venezuela now, but there are other pretty good example: Nigeria, Angola and certainly Iraq after introduction of “democracy”.
Learn to write the truth and not what you believe, know the meaning of terms before you publish your next article.

Capitalism does not exist in America. Laws are written by a Congress that has been bought and paid for by big business. When smaller companies try to play on a level playing field, new laws are written to the bankers/big business’s benefit and put the little guy out. Capitalism is a lie. Power = corruption.

Socialism only works as long as the rich people have money. Once the money is gone and nobody pays the bill – Socialism collapses. In Scandinavian countries, Socialism works because they of their small population, but now that they have embraced a lot of ME migrants who are all getting free stuff, they are all experiencing the difficulties.

You must be very ignorant to think that there is an endless supply of money, when in reality money comes from the people’s taxes.

http://www.elmundo.es Wed. April 13th, 2016.

http://www.elmundo.es Mon May 23rd, 2016.

http://www.abc.es Mon April 18th, 2016.

http://www.el-nacional.com Fri April 22nd, 2016.

yes – just like the US, where uninhibited greed fed by an unrestrained Donald Trump administration is just what we fear.
We do not fear people from the Middle East, but we fear an ideology that kills, murder and plunder – spread terror and ignorance, feed a few pockets and make these thick on the expense of those that create the values. We are scared of big words, and articles, videos that you refer to scare the shit out of us.
We have jailed Anders Behring Breivik for life, we can take a few more if that is needed. But hear: Donald Trump cannot wage war as George W. Bush did to get the US out of a recession. This time big words scare us.

    Hey Canuto,
Are you and idiot ? I was born in Norway. Norway isn’t a socialist country. Socialism is defined as the government owning means to “production”. Norway has free enterprise and Capitialism. Nordic countries have some wealth due the BRAINS of the native people living there and natural resources, not because of Socialism. Norway is becoming MORE free market as Gov’t hand out don’t work.

Venezuela like so many petro dollar economies had made absolutely no provision to be weaned off its sole commodity, oil. Like Russia and Iran, all it can do is pump more and more oil, resulting in a spiraling down of oil prices and thus revenue.
Combined with decades of corrupt and mismanaged governing and far too long under the guidance of dear comrade Chavez, the country is doomed.
Take no notice of comrade Jeremy Corbyn, because he wants to do the same for Britain. A nasty little man.

I left the US because of the corruption going on. Your votes do not count there anymore, it’s proven time and again. Big business run the government and people are blind to it. When drug and chemical companies say their product does not harm according to studies that they themselves conducted, government believes them. Before things were with INDEPENDENT studies and research, now today government believes big business and gladly accepts their donations to help keep them in office.

While the rest of the USA suffers our politicians have it made. Can give themselves raises when they see fit, give themselves a nice benefit and retirement package that they get for life.

Still think your vote counts??? They are in it only for themselves. Look at the state of affairs now with the 2 ring circus show going on between HIM and HER. Both say what they need to say in order to get your vote. Which does not matter anyway because the election has pretty much been decided by big business. Which ever of them is in deeper with big business will be the one who wins the election.

We left the USA and moved to Costa Rica. Granted they are in debt like the rest of the world. They have socialized medicine that is not great BUT you get treatment if it’s an emergency. Yes you wait in the waiting room to be seen and have to have someone bring you around for testing. BUT it’s not FREE….. everyone pays into the system or you do not get seen unless it’s a life and death situation.

There are private doctors around and it’s a lot cheaper than seeing a doctor in the USA. Is it perfect? NO ….. BUT they also do not have social security or welfare. Your poor your poor and do what you can to survive. Neighbor helps out neighbor IF they know you are poor and trying.

People live in metal shacks hanging over the side of a hill and are VERY happy that they have a roof over their heads. People grow their own food and even have chickens for meat and eggs. They know how to do without.

People in the USA are in for a rude awakening when things come crashing down again and they will. No one learned from the bailouts. The only winners there was big business and they are still operating like usual.

In USA so many have guns (which is good) but when push comes to shove people will not wait patiently in the store with long lines. They will start shooting each other and not care.

Look what they do on Black Friday with the pushing and shoving and attacking each other over a “sale” item for the holidays because they have to have it cheap.

No one system of government works 100% of the time. It has to have checks and balances and be concerned equally between big business that drives the economy and the poor and working class. It’s a tough balancing act but only then can things truly work.

Giving handouts to people who have no incentive to work is not help at all. It’s control.

It would bother me when I was hurt and unable to work to go and try to get food stamps. People driving in Cadalacs and so much gold on them it’s un real. Really poor people don’t have tons of gold jewelry on 24/7 or drive around in fancy cars. I talked to some who were getting $400 a month in food stamps for them and their 5 children (most from different fathers). OR even certain groups of men were receiving that too.

What did a white man get who only needed temporary help? $5 a month for food stamps — REALLY???? I laughed and said I’ll go beg on the streets and get more money. What did they expect you to buy for $5 for a month of food.

It’s a broken system with a broken government that is no longer FOR the people.

I’ll sit back in Costa Rica in the mountains where I am growing my own food, raising chickens and tucked away. I’ll see from online the downfall and help out friends and family IF I can. It will be a civil war of sorts and will take years to calm down.

In the meantime government will hand over control to big business at the taxpayers expense to help control the masses and to distribute GMO and chemical foods to the people. Who in turn will become sick by this and have to go to big business run health care clinics.

Big business won’t care if they are getting money from the government, they will slowly take more control away and be given the right to refuse services to who ever they feel they want to say no to. There won’t be a thing you can do about it and your elected officials will say OH WELL ….. re-elect me and I’ll do something. BS — all they will do is prove to those in control that they deserve to stay in their jobs to continue to deceive the masses.

    I finally woke up!

I’m sorry, what part “central planning doesn’t work” is it so hard to get through your skulls? It’s nothing to do with “greed.” It’s nothing to do with do with “neo-liberalism,” whatever that is supposed to mean. Judging from some the comments here, it is truly appalling that so many people without a clue of basic economics and political philosophy are more than willing to pay heed to cheap rhetoric and sophistry and hand their countries on a silver plate to socialist lunatics. That’s public education for you!

Canuto, you look like you’re in your 50s in your avatar and yet you sound just as idiotic as the average college-aged kid in North America. Goes to prove that age =/= wisdom. And by the way, Nordic countries have a relatively small, high IQ population, natural resources (mostly in the case of Norway) and are much more free market-oriented than Obama’s America. They are wealthy DESPITE their big government and socialist policies, NOT because of them.

My native country (Brazil) was all but DESTROYED by morons who thought it was a good idea to put hardcore socialists in power and keep them there for almost 2 decades (after removing the “soft” socialists from the previous governments). We have “free healthcare,” “free tuition,” right to this, right to that, guns are outlawed, blah blah blah… Whatever liberal cliché you can think of, we’ve tried it. The result? We have recently had to impeach our insanely corrupt president Dilma Rousseff, who not only was BFFs with the likes of Chávez and Maduro, but also pretty much ruined the dreams of millions of Brazilians with excessive government spending, rampant taxation, currency devaluation and hyperinflation, mass unemployment, insane levels of crime, a credit crunch, and trillions of dollars in debt for good measure. We are now attempting to rebuild some of the damage caused by these lefties but it should now take us some 10-20 years until we can even dream of getting pack on the path of growth. If you want America to go down the same path, go ahead, vote Bernie, or Hillary, who cares! Or vote Corbyn, if you live in Britain. You guys are screwed either way.

  21. Apneaman on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:25 pm

Jon Wesvold, I here ya. I live next door to the mericans and loads of them call Canada a socialist country. They “accuse” every country that doesn’t practice neo liberal capitalism EXACTLY the way they do as Socialist. Most are fucking clueless and are just repeating what they were told. The indoctrination starts early in merica and only a small percentage ever break free of that brain washing – just like religion, get em when the’re young. They even make them stand up pledge allegiance to the Corporate State flag every morning at school. A religious ceremony if there ever was one.

Warning: socialism is dangerous to your health and life expectancy

  23. Len on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:27 pm

Until we improve the level of education (and move it more to facts and principles and away from social and political indoctrination) too many people will believe political fantasy over reality. Socialism is a failed totalitarian system (Check USSR, Cuba, Nazi Germany or Venezuela) sold to the masses thro0ugh propaganda (I see plenty in this article). It plays on emotions rather than understanding. It enriches only the masters of the state – and destroys the spirit, creativity and capital stores of the population.

  24. Paul on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:28 pm

Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. The forefathers of the United States of America had vivid memories of oppression in their minds when they wrote the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

    Do we have faults??????
You are damn right we do…
But we are doing much, much better than so many other places in the world. Many people will risk everything for a chance to come to the United States for opportunity. But opportunity requires a risk that is put on ones faith, that through hard work one can achieve success.

In a perfect world, it is through compassion that we care for the less fortunate. Obviously, with the division of wealth that we see, we have a ways to go. It is a given that we will never get there by repeating past mistakes.

It is sad that we are given the poor choice of either Hillary or Trump in this election of the millions of good American people. I will be voting for Trump, because Hillary would be a step backwards to repeat those same mistakes.

  25. Phil Lackland on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:31 pm

For the Ayn Rand’s of the world, when a socialist government flounders, the system of government is always to blame, regardless of any other circumstances.

  26. maxwell Coulthard on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:37 pm

I echo Mr Wesvold’s comments ! What a brilliant example of Norway’s success has been the prudent investment of the country’s petro dollars.
Britain could have followed by doing the exact same thing but successive governments squandered hundreds of billions of dollars of their North Sea assets, that the country has huge debts.
Add to that Gordon Brown’s totally mismanagement of the economy as Chancellor of the Exchequer (He sold off a huge portion of the UK’s Gold Reserves at the very moment that the gold hit an all time low. Beware of Jeremy Corbyn chumming up to Hugo Chavez. They suit each other very well !

  27. Emillio A. on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:39 pm

Ask any Venezuelan what their economy was like in the 1980’s before these disgusting socialists/communists took over.

    End of story.

  28. Jose on Mon, 23rd May 2016 4:40 pm

It’s easy to blame Venezuela’s problems on Socialism. Why don’t you talk about Sweden’s Socialism? Because the last time I was in Sweden it was very nice. Venezuela has had big problems, slums, poverty long before they tried Socialism. They were poor capitalists as well with a revolution every now and then.

And moving to another country requires permission and visas etc. Not easy unless you’re wealthy. Not even easy for a US citizen.

A lot of you are correct – and the author is correct – the American government was actually created by Luciferians to bring about the one world government – on the back of our 1 $ bill is a pyramid – it’s Luciferian, and the words in Latin say something like “the one world has arrived” – America will be destroyed in more ways than one so the one world government can be ushered in. Our government gets away with murdering people in middle eastern countries, and they murder our own people and get away with it – pure evil – I am a prepper because I know what’s coming. I remember a video showing folks standing in line at one of those Venezuelan government superstores. Apparently there was some pushing and shoving ans yelling and screaming – luckily you never see any bad behavior like that in the capitalist paradise.

Tampa Bay Walmarts get thousands of police calls. You paid the bill. “Law enforcement becomes in effect a taxpayer-paid private security source for Walmart.”

“Police come to shoo away panhandlers, referee parking disputes and check on foul-mouthed teenagers.

They are called to arrest the man who drinks a 98-cent iced tea without paying and capture the customer who joyrides on a motorized shopping cart.

Police officers on duty, at Walmart
The calls eat up hours of officers’ time. They all start at one place:

    Walmart.

Law enforcement logged nearly 16,800 calls in one year to Walmarts in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco and Hernando counties

, according to a Tampa Bay Times analysis. That’s two calls an hour, every hour, every day.”

The biggest and most dangerous criminals in the entire world are the IMF, the World Bank and the NY bankers. They all hated Chavez because he was interested in the welfare of the Venezuelan people and did well. So was Khadafi, the former Presidents of Panama, Bolivia and, more recently, the Presidents of Argentina and Brazil. What did all these people have in common? They did not want to play by the American dictates, simple as that. We turn out to be a nation ruled by economic hit man, which will use the armed forces if needed. Wake up folk, the 3rd world has been cleaned out, we are next. Don’t believe me? What is happening in Puerto Rico then? Typical economic hit man scenario for sure. Yes, we ARE next. Well to those who like to bring up Denmark, yes I have been there. In fact I taught there! None of the Scandinavian countries are socialist, so your argument does not work! You can have two forms of socialism in regards to economic activity. One is a socialist society where some integrity is maintained and government is not bought by the business they control.
The alternative is Fascism, which is “Corporatism” as Mussolini named his new economy where Government and business are married in a cabal that benefits the powers that be, and success and failure are determined by the State.

Denmark is none of these. It is a highly Capitalist nation which has an expansive welfare umbrella which worked until ……….. Originally Denmark was an homogenous country and culture where that welfare was seldom used. Today 46% of all welfare goes to 4.2% of the population: Muslim immigrants. For that and other pressures those “socialist” nations are moving away from their welfare States and moving toward a more American styled government.

http://www.elmundo.es Wed. April 13th, 2016. The Witches of Chavez and spiritualism used the Venezuelan leader. An investigation reveals the obsession of the late President of Venezuela to consult psychics, do sessions ‘Ouija’ and even practicing Cuban Santeria rituals. “In the Miraflores Presidential Palace spiritualism rituals are done,” says the author. DEW GALVÁN @GalvanX 04/13/2016 14:46
“Before 60 years you’re going to get very sick and you’ll die,” he told the young witch Cristina Hugo Chavez, pointing a sword on a letter of clubs. That was the first impact of the Eternal Commander with esotericism. A hobby that would accompany him until the day he died, foretold by his first seer, the sister of his mistress for more than a decade Herma Marksman.
It was 1987 and were the days when an ambitious captain Chavez hatched the coup that took shape in 1992. But it was not all bad omens. The medium header Venezuelan leader also prophesied to the top of his ascent: “You will be president of Venezuela but you’ll be in jail first. The sign above the charges, “said Cristina. The letters and marked their inexorable fate and with them came an obsession that would drag him all kinds of related occult practices. A long resume contact with the beyond covering amulets, ‘Ouija’, the appearances of his great-grandfather ‘Maisanta’ (a general who fought against the dictatorship of Juan Vicente Gomez), chats with the spirit of Simon Bolivar , Freemasonry (tried to enter a lodge), visions of the souls of the savannah and Cuban Santeria.
The incredible revelations about the hidden power that ruled the decision of the late President of Venezuela are the result of the investigation of journalist David Placer and are collected in the book ‘Sorcerers Chavez’ (Digital Economy), who on Wednesday presented in Madrid. One of the most important findings of Placer is a letter now up to inédita- that Chavez himself sent the seer Cristina Marksman. The letter, published exclusively WORLD, is an important documentary evidence of what until now was an open secret.
“Chavez used witchcraft to control and manipulate the people Venezuela. So much so that Santeria imported from Cuba transformed the way of doing politics, “says Placer after collecting dozens of testimonies of the Bolivarian leader environment.
Santeria is a primitive practice that originated in Nigeria and Cuba reaching through the black slaves who brought the Spaniards. “The santeras practices emerge with Chavez through the influence of Fidel Castro, which leverages superstition Chavez to introduce Santeria in all state institutions,” explains Placer. Confession is made former minister and personal friend of Chavez Raul Baduel, from Ramo Verde prison.
    Voter devotee
Thereafter the voter becomes devout and so was born the veneration Chavez as a kind of reincarnation of a deity who has the spirit and the former liberators. The book relates that the ‘Babalawos’ or Santeria was introduced in organizations and companies creating a network of spies who obtained information through their work as spiritual guides. “The military did hazing in Havana and was often seen in public places altars. This came to transform even the dashboard of the army, as a sponsor of Santeria could not be below the ladder, “says the journalist. For the author, one of the most shocking discoveries was finding that “at the Presidential Palace of Miraflores spiritualistic rituals that came the leaders of Chavez and still today continue to be carried out”. The Caracas reporter has taken pictures of the room in which these sessions took place. In one of them you can see a gator head, used for such ceremonies, as well as candles and offerings.
Everything indicates that Chavez made paleros rituals, in which bones of the dead are used. “In the general cemetery south to eight daily desecrated graves,” he says.
The relationship with the dead was a constant throughout the life of Chavez. Several witnesses say they left an empty meetings with his advisers to chair Simon Bolivar, who even held talks late into the night. When lunching alone asked for another serving for the deliverer. Other times, during seances in prison, was possessed by the soul of his great-grandfather, who was speaking through him. Almost always to appoint him as the candidate “chosen” by the gods. Sometimes he claimed to have seen the ‘crybaby’, a popular dark soul which tradition traces the Llanos region.
Was Chavez an enlightened or was it pure theater? “Both. He believed in spirits but also used them to manipulate “.
The truth is that at the end of his days, when the cancer invaded his body, the president returned to his Catholic roots. Through television he asked Christ to prolong her life to finish his Messianic work and promised to build temples in their honor. After his disappearance, the figure of Chavez, far from fading up to the altar and some of the people began to worship him. Some even claim that has appeared to them.
Venezuela Is it haunted? The final chapter contains the answer: Chavez and Cristina seer went together to a river and performed a ritual to ensure that its power was eternal. Now there are Venezuelan witches who try to undo the spell, convinced that the last battle against Chavez is not political but spiritual.
unpublished letter of Hugo Chavez his first seer Cristina Marksman, assigned exclusively to THE WORLD.
    The son of Chango
The Venezuelan leader began in Santeria Chango under the sign of a ritual held in Havana, says Cuban Santeria Carlos Valdes. Among the ‘Babalawos’ Chavista and opposition, there is no doubt about this version: Chavez chose this deity to start a religion that grew like no other during the Chavismo. Chango, lord of thunder and lightning, is a sort of saint of the Yoruba religion, from West Africa. According to tradition, Chango was a warrior, violent, warlock and virile king, qualities with which Chavez was attracted, according confess Santeria own regime cited in the investigation.
    esoteric leaders
The Commander called Eternal was not the first believer and superstitious Venezuelan president. Social Democrat Carlos Andres Perez had a witch well-known in Venezuelan political sectors that made rituals to protect it from attacks by their enemies. His predecessor and party colleague Jaime Lusinchi hired a clairvoyant in election campaign vaticinara victory. And the conservative Luis Herrera Campins not taking off from an amulet allegedly provided protection. But Venezuelan presidents are not the only ones in the region with inclination to such practices. Argentine President Juan Domingo Peron appointed as Minister of Social Welfare Jose Lopez Rega, personal sorcerer of his wife, Isabel Peron.

For the first time, a journalistic investigation reveals the superstitious character of Hugo Chavez, a president surrounded himself with Santeria and warlocks and desperately went to the rituals as a means of power. Spells and amulets always accompanied the leader. Entrusted the fate of conspiracy to read letters, tried to gain sympathy of his fellow coup leaders and promoted with the ouija Cuban Santeria from the Miraflores Palace, a venue which is still practiced spiritualism. Politics and superstition have become intertwined in a move that turned to Babalawos to impose, through religion and rituals control over political leaders, military, parties, state institutions and other government factors. The Spanish-Venezuelan journalist David Placer Chavista uncovers the relationship with the occult sciences with an original and revealing work. After a thorough investigation that includes more than sixty interviews with relatives, friends, members of the senior government and former collaborators of Hugo Chavez, Placer brings to light private letters and diary excerpts from Hugo Chavez hitherto unknown. It is a must to understand the Chavez as a political movement and Hugo Chavez as a leader who sought support even with the souls and spirits work. All depending on the power.

Juan Carlos Monedero and two other members of Podemos endorsed the thesis that aupó Gladys Maria Gutierrez Alvarado to the Presidium of the Supreme Court of Venezuela. According to this newspaper could find and can be checked in the database of doctoral theses of the Ministry of Education, December 21, 2011 the Venezuelan judge read his thesis, entitled The new Latin American constitutional paradigm. Dogmatic social extensive and new geometry of power, at the University of Zaragoza, in a court composed of five university professors. Including purse, one of the main founders of Podemos party and number three in its early stages was.
Precisely purse was removed from the management of Podemos in 2015 after the discovery of a transfer of 425,150 euros from the Bank Treasury Venezuela to a company created by him to receive that money. Article 37 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Venezuela establishes as one of the requirements to be a judge of this institution “have a university degree of specialization, masters or doctorate in the field of legal science.” Gladys Gutierrez chose to conduct his doctoral thesis in Spain, being chosen later to the post of president of the court, which has held since 2013 and which was again ratified last year by 2017. The judge is linked to Chavez since its beginnings. He arrived in Spain in 2000 as advisor to the Venezuelan consulate. In just one year he became the consul of the Latin American country in Madrid and in 2003 emerged as ambassador, a position he held until 2005. In 2006 he returned to Caracas, where he was appointed Attorney General. In this position he remained until 2010 when he was elected judge of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court. His tenure as a judge has always been surrounded by controversy, being considered by the opposition to Chavez one hard objective, given its political ties with the regime. In this context, it was for example judge rapporteur of the sentence that rejected the challenge of the presidential elections on 14 April 2013. This decision was almost parallel to his appointment as head of the Supreme Court.
In the Venezuelan parliamentary elections on 6 December, the opposition Democratic Unity Table obtained the two-thirds majority of the House. After the landslide victory, Chavez took advantage of the Christmas holidays to make a controversial decision in extraordinary session: appoint 13 new judges of the Supreme Court headed by Gladys Gutiérrez, many of them linked to the regime. Since then, several judgments of the Court have diminished the power of Parliament to establish any control over the executive, military and judiciary in the country. The Supreme lay the Amnesty Law of political prisoners and also declared constitutional the state of emergency declared by Maduro, on 13 May. “It is the judge who has hamstrung parliament of Venezuela, the statements concerning the decisions of the National Assembly have been issued by the Constitutional Chamber, of which she is president. Miraflores hotline receives “opposition sources say. This week, the Court has banned any demonstration around the headquarters of the National Electoral Council. “No decision of the Supreme Court is above the will of the people change. Continue to fight for an effective recall, and it should be this year, “said the deputy of the National Assembly Freddy Guevara.
    The National Assembly, manacled
In this way, the Venezuelan Supreme kept shackled to the National Assembly, whose decisions are systematically lying by the High Court. Situation which has led an institutional blockade that has plunged Venezuela into political crisis afflicting. Well, the doctoral Gladys Gutierrez opened the doors of the highest court of Venezuela was endorsed by several members of Podemos. Along with Juan Carlos Monedero, there were two other people linked to the party that gave the nod to the doctoral thesis of Venezuelan judge. This is Francisco Palacios Romeo, who was the director of the work, and José María Pérez Collados, member of the court. Both are members of Podemos in Aragon and people linked to party leaders. Both Palacios as Pérez Collados were part of the lists presented in 2015 to form part of the address can Aragon.
Previously, Palacios, director of the thesis of Gladys Gutierrez, had been an alternate on the electoral lists of IU in Zaragoza in the general election of 2011. Currently, he is professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zaragoza, doctor Constitutional law and coordinator of this area. For his part, Pérez Collados is Professor of History of Law at the University of Girona, although it was also a professor at Zaragoza. His college career is linked to Latin American centers. In the curriculum of the judge also has the -after the thesis- of a “specialization in Constitutional Law and Political Science at the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies of the Ministry of the Presidency in Spain and the University Menéndez Pelayo ‘realization. Such specialization would serve to meet the training requirements set out in the Supreme Court Act to form part of the body. However, a spokesman for the university told this newspaper that Gladys Gutierrez “has never been a student at the University Menendez Pelayo” and his name does not even appear in the database of students who passed through the center.
In this regard, he confirmed that the UIMP is pursuing a Master of Constitutional Law, not a specialization, in collaboration with the Center for Political and Constitutional Studies. A few years ago, his name was Master in Constitutional Law and Political Science. This newspaper also contacted with the study center concerned to confirm that this institution teaches graduate courses that respond to the name “specialization in Constitutional Law and Political Science.” Official sources explained that the center will not offer courses of specialization. Moreover, they said that the only training offered, without the sponsorship of the UIMP, are “seminars and short courses” through which no graduate degrees are achieved, but certificates are exchanged for points to get the level of I graduate.

Filed under: International – Topics: Nicolas Maduro members called the 4-F industry (retired military officers who participated in the attempted coup of February 4, 1992 led by Hugo Chavez) are trying to push the dome of the armed forces to force the resignation of President Nicolas Maduro. Military sources say that next to Miguel Rodriguez Torres persons, the retired general who has been at the head of that faction, have approached the High Command for this Maduro suggests the desirability of abandoning his post. The old guard Chavez believes that the grave situation in the country is hampered by the lack of leadership shown by Maduro since coming to office in April 2013, according to public statements that some of its members have done. In this group also operates Diosdado Cabello, deputy leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), another veteran of the 4-F, who is currently situated worst Rodriguez Torres to join forces as Chavista alternative. Although contacts reserved maintained by Rodriguez Torres with President of the National Assembly, Henry Ramos, the general has seen a stage for new elections after a waiver of Maduro, as required by law, no guarantee that a succession driven from Chavismo go to assume immediate elections within the stipulated period of one month. Invocations to the exceptionality of the economic and social crisis could try to justify an election delay, thereby seeking a time of consolidation successor.
    The Cuban factor
As previously reported by ABC, he Maduro himself has dealt with Cuban President Raul Castro, a possible waiver of the Venezuelan president, according to information that US agencies have moved to some members of the Senate in Washington. Although that conversation could obey a moment of insecurity, just after the victory of the opposition in the legislative elections, and now Maduro seems to have found a way to block the National Assembly application to the Supreme Court, have triggered internal movements.
These movements are lining up Chavez into two camps. On the one hand, who say vindicate the original spirit of the Bolivarian revolution, which then would have been spoiled by Maduro, and secondly, a new generation of activists who in recent years has been occupying important positions. Maduro is relying on the latter to counter the first. Most of the new Chavista sap has formed in the Francisco de Miranda Front (FFM), which has been an instrument of the Cuban influence in Venezuela. Other older leaders who came to lead the FFM, as the former foreign minister Elias Jaua and the governor of Cojedes, Erika Farias, would also be playing the card of generational renewal. In addition, other nearby Maduro leaders are also coming together in the face of contrary civilians to military veterans 4-F sector. Tarek el Aissami, governor of Aragua, which would have been one of the first options Maduro as a possible successor -after ruled by its prominent relationship with drug trafficking and Hizbolá-, would also be at the service of that strategy respectful parts with the times Maduro set.
In the context of a confrontation between the two sides pointed, you may gain importance vice president Aristobulo Isturiz, who should he run the country on an interim basis in case of a waiver of Maduro if this leaves unchanged the vice presidency. Also the figure of Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez, could serve as a temporary wildcard in the case of a rapid transition if events are precipitated.

For those of you on this thread still salivating over socialism and pointing to the Scandinavian models, please make note that they’re able to do it because they do not pay the bill for a massive underclass (yet), nor are the saddled with the costs of keeping the world safe for democracy like the U.S. of A. The folly of a country as screwed up as Venezuela trying this sort of thing should be readily apparent to all by now.

So, when costs like that start rolling in to Sweden & Denmark, their system will collapse as well. But enjoy your socialist utopia while it lasts. I also must point out that there are no blacks in Scandinavia either. Is that also part of the socialist utopia?

Basically, GHung, Roger’s long post has to do with among other things, the fact that it appears Hugo Chavez was very superstitious and believed in a minor religion called “Santeria”. Supposedly this helps depicts Chavez has somewhat deranged. Second, that he and his followers were quite corrupt duh so is everyone. Third, that the old Chavez supporters do not want to see the current President Maduro in power any longer and are pressuring for his renunciation. The long list of names is of high ranking military who endorse the Assembly ie. Congress in their pressuring for a resignation by Maduro. Makes sense as Chavez came from the military and furthermore seems like a military coup may be in the making.

In america people help each other and that is why most have nothing, you live paycheck to paycheck and never have anything. Most people couldn’t afford $1000 hospital bill, and have no savings. Yet all of these people will blindly support a failed system of government such as ours.

    Hey! Hillary
    Hey! Bernie
Socialism works really huh? You two are so pathetic I cannot believe you have anyone at any of your campaign speeches.

God Bless the USA and all our God Given freedoms that so many have fought and died for.

Now we see why-when Socialism ruins a country-socialists are able to rush valiantly to the people and claim that they are there to save them from all their troubles!
