The U.S. ambassador to Israel, Daniel Shaprio, told a closed conference in Tel Aviv that the United States has completed preparations for a military strike on Iran. His comments were recorded by a reporter and aired on Israel’s Channel 2 TV on Wednesday night.
“It would be preferable to resolve this diplomatically, and through the use of pressure, than to use military force,” Shapiro said. “But that does not mean that option isn’t available. Not just available, it’s ready. The necessary planning has been done to ensure that it’s ready.”
Shaprio’s comments were not intended for public consumption, the Times of Israel reports.
The finalized attack plan arrives as Israel and the United States prepare for joint military exercises in the United States. “The exercises, to be held in the coming months, will strengthen the relationship between the IAF and the US Air Force as they practice carrying out joint operations,” the Jerusalem-based online newspaper reported. “Israeli and US air defense forces are also to take part in a major joint drill later this summer in Israel to simulate a massive attack. Thousands of US soldiers are expected to arrive in Israel for the drills.”
In January, the Stars and Stripes reported that the exercise in Israel – billed as the largest ever conducted by the two countries – is not related to tensions with Iran, according to the U.S. European Command. The long-planned exercise is “part of a routine training cycle designed to improve the interoperability of our air defense systems, and not in response to any real-world event,” said EUCOM spokesman Air Force Capt. John Ross.
“It’s a classified exercise, and we can’t release even small details about it,” Ross explained in an email to the Department of Defense newspaper.
“Austere Challenge ’12″ was originally scheduled for April, but postponed by Obama.
“U.S. participation in such an exercise, obviously geared to a scenario involving an Iranian retaliation against an Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities, would have made the United States out to be a partner of Israel in any war that would follow an Israeli attack on Iran,” Gareth Porter and Jim Lobe reported in January.
“Obama and U.S. military leaders apparently decided that the United States could not participate in such an exercise so long as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to give the administration any assurance that he will not attack Iran without prior approval from Washington.”
On March 8, the Israel Insider reported that Netanyahu had struck a deal with the United States.
“The US will supply Israel with bunker-busting bombs and refueling planes in return for delaying a strike against Iran until at least the end of the year,” the website reported, citing Maariv, a Hebrew language daily newspaper published in Israel. In other words, the long planned strike on Iran will occur after the November election in the United States.

Statements like the one above rarely leak ‘by accident’. It can happen of course, but genuine leaks of anything really important, are actually pretty rare. The US constantly plays this game of ‘allowing’ slips like this to get out, when it suits there interest to do so. Its all part of the game plan…nothing much more to see here. Its not as if the fact the US would love to unleash its rabid stormtroopers and secure all that nationlized oil isnt the worst kept secret around right now.
Nothing new here…

DC, You are correct. “Leaks” are the way that news releases are made so that if there is a negative reaction, they can be disclaimed or changed.
I am interested in how a bankrupt empire is going to handle a major war in the Middle East, and a war with China in the South China Sea. There is a Us attack submarine docked in Subic today here in Manila. And there are other ‘war games’ planed for the area.
There is also numerous Us backed fighting in Africa (Egypt, Libya, Syria, Sudan, etc.).
If a covert (Israeli) false flag event happens and takes out the antique USS Enterprise and the war begins, Russia is already on the northern border of Iran waiting to step in on Iran’s side and China is also going to support their main trading partner in that area.
Not to mention that North Korea may take that opportunity to attack South Korea. Taiwan could be a target for China in all of the fray, drawing the empire into yet another battle it cannot win.
Perhaps the empire will set a new record for collapse time. One year? Less? “Hello Ben,this is China calling….”

This incessant beating on the war drums by the US against Iran is exactly the same behavior displayed by the US between 1933 and 1941 when ‘authoritarian states’ Germany, Italy and Japan were targeted by the Roosevelt government. Just like then the US is waiting for an opportunity to launch another world war. In WW2 the allies USA and USSR exploited a local conflict. Britain and France could not accept the existence of Germany, which by sheer size would inevitably dominate Europe. The US and USSR were smiling by the sidelines and did everything they could to push Europe into war. In the end they could divide the loot among them. Now the USSR is dead, but the US is going for the planetary gold. And the goldpot is in the Gulf. When you own the Gulf, you own the world. And the zionist ruling class in the US wants the world. After all, according to their belief system, they are the Chosen, destined to rule the world. And they are going to use the lives of your kids to achieve their aims. Poor world.

If the USA wants to attack anything, they have to do it now – or never. Hyperinflation and total collapse is coming. A couple of years ago, only total doomers where using these phrases. Now, in 2012, even bigger and bigger figures are talking about this. Like Ray Dalio, the head of the world’s largest hedge fund.
Arthur was right – one of the biggest enemies of the USA is their belief in god. That’s why I put my only hope in the pagan Europe. Yes, they have widespread prostitution (which is the oldest trade in the world, existed in every civilisation, except in USA and it’s god believing zombies)
but they also have very developed renewable energy – especially in Germany

The world economy was built on cheap energy. That has come to an end and with it the world economy struggles to grow enough to get out of its debt. An attack on Iran will spike oil prices and cause the global economy to go into recession or worse. The world relies too much on energy produced in the middle east. The sooner we transition away from oil to safe, clean alternative energy sources the better.

Ready for what exactly? There will be nobody getting on an Aircraft Carrier to say “Mission Accomplished” in an age Anti-Ship Ballistic missiles. They are going to drop Bunker busters on 80 sites simultaneously? Really??
They can print money until the cows come home, but as comments indicate here, the World economy will not be able to cope with an escalation in the cost of oil. Instead of a long emergency, it will collapse overnight.

What’s this? Yet *another* attack on Iran? This must be the 20th time in the past 7 years I’ve heard the same “leaked” information about an immenent attack on Iran by Israel or the US. Garbage. Maybe we shouldn’t have otherthrown their democratic government back in 1953 and installed a dictator? Yet another example of American foreign policy coming back to bite us in the ass.

America has NO foreign policy! It’s all about invasion (for resources), that it calls war, or a need to keep the war machine going. And to kill the so called terrorist. What BS. The US is the cause of all of this. And they like it that way. It keeps the rich people rich, and the those who profit from war.
I say the US will invade Iran, most likely through proxy. Either way, it will be the end of the US.
Stupid people deserve to fail, and that’s exactly what is going to happen in the US.

Fools rush in where angels fear to tread, and the Us is full of fools. The empire kills thousands of times more people than any terrorists in history since Genghis Kahn. There may be 50 people in the world who qualify for the title ‘terrorist’ and so far, we have spent trillions to ‘stop’ them. A bit like the ‘war on drugs’ that has increased drug use and cost the taxpayer many billions.
