Trump EPA Attempts to Erase Methane Rules for Oil and Gas Industry

Public Policy

Today, the Environmental Protection Agency released its proposed rule to completely eliminate regulations for methane emissions from the oil and gas industry across the entire supply chain and to remove all federal rules – for both methane and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) – for facilities in the transportation and storage segment of the supply chain.

As EPA makes clear, this proposal is an attempt to dodge the agency’s legal duty to regulate existing sources in the oil and gas sector. Today’s proposal comes on the heels of an EPA proposal last fall to significantly weaken pollution control provisions in 2016 standards, such as requirements for performing regular leak inspection.

· Matt Watson, Vice President, Energy, Environmental Defense Fund

Based on 2017 data, failing to regulate existing sources, removing standards for transmission and storage facilities and weakening current standards as EPA has proposed would result in 5 million metric tons of methane emissions annually that would be otherwise be reduced – more than a third of total methane from oil and gas operations, and enough gas to heat 4 million homes. Combined, these two proposals could likewise lead to nearly 1.2 million tons of additional smog-forming VOCs and more than 43 thousand tons of hazardous air pollutants like benzene annually.

Methane from human activities is responsible for 25% of the warming we are currently experiencing. At the same time, the latest evidence shows oil and gas methane emissions are 60% higher than estimated by EPA. EPA’s action today comes as many leading states and countries have moved to adopt methane standards for the oil and gas sector. As with the Trump administration efforts to roll back clean car standards, which has been met by strong opposition from automotive industry leaders, several leading oil and gas companies have called on EPA to maintain and even strengthen federal methane standards.

“’An earthquake’: racism, rage and rising calls for freedom in Papua”

Racism = tribalism = universal, not just among “whites”:

    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/aug/31/an-earthquake-racism-rage-and-rising-calls-for-freedom-in-papua

“Anti-racism” is the battlecry of the US empire, not because Americans are such noble people, but because Americans for a brief moment thought they could own the entire planet and in order to achieve that, a racial-egalitarian ideology needed to be promoted via US media with global reach.

The project just failed, irreversibly, thank God.

The Guardian article refers to the situation in Indonesia, where Christian Papuas (leftover from the Dutch empire) demand independence from Muslim-run Jakarta.

The point to make is that if the empire goes belly-up, as it will, and a process euphemistically described as “de-globalization sets in, gigantic potential exists all over the planet for situations like in Papua.

    #DevolutionPlanet

And at the same time new empires/constellations will arise:

    – PBM + Heartland USA (the largest of them all)
    – China taking over Australasia, Taiwan (Mongolia?), Vancouver
    – Neo-Ottoman empire
    – “Special relationship” England-Canada

9-11-trial to begin in 2021, 20 years after the fact:

    https://www.trouw.nl/buitenland/rechtszaak-hoofdverdachte-9-11-begint-in-2021~b9b12353/

Rest assured that the patsy Khalid Sheikh Mohammed “unfortunately” will die before that date, in the best US judicial traditions.

9-11 was conceived in the brain of neocon (((Dov Zakheim))), signatory of the PNAC document. A couple of years before he had lead a company SPC specialized in remote controlled airplanes.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dov_S._Zakheim

9/11 was nothing but an attempted global coup d’etat, an attempt to bring under US control all fossil fuel resources of the ME.

9-11 could be THE major handle for DJT to finally destroy J-power in the US after a possible reelection. Trump knows 9-11 was a false flag, he hinted at that on the day of 9-11:

    Who is Boris Johnson?

Born in NYC. Was 50 years US citizen (he is now 55). He calls himself a “one man melting pot”.

He is proud of his 25% Turkish roots:

    https://gulfnews.com/world/boris-day-all-you-need-to-know-about-britains-new-prime-minister-boris-johnson-1.1563826925338

According to the BBC, citing official birth records, Boris Johnson’s paternal grandfather is Osman Wilfred Kemal. Johnson’s paternal great-grandfather, Ali Kemal, was a Turkish journalist and politician in the early 1900s.

Moreover, his father’s other ancestry includes English and French, including descent from King George II of Great Britain. Johnson’s mother was Charlotte Fawcett, an artist, who had married Stanley in 1963, prior to their move to the US.

Charlotte is the granddaughter of Elias Avery Lowe, a palaeographe and a Russian Jewish immigrant to the US, and Helen Tracy Lowe-Porter, a translator of Thomas Mann. Johnson’s maternal great-grandfather was a Lithuanian Jew and Orthodox Jewish rabbi.

“Johnson was educated at the European School of Brussels, Ashdown House and Eton College.”

Look up the meaning of that, cloggo. The European economy is already in a hard landing and Brexit will be just another nail in the coffin. No, you euros won’t collapse but many are like you cloggo, in extreme denial of the real pain ahead. Growth is finished for Europe and a new darker age is ahead. Cloggo, you are in the same boat as old man makato with his delusional thinking that his rotten Asia is rising as he sips Russian vodka and OJ on his plastic infested 3rd world beach. OH, and I am not bragging about the US it is a mess too but Americans admit how messed up we are hence the situation of an internet full of anti-American articles. No other place is ripped apart both externally and internally like the US. It goes with the territory of being a shell of an Empire and a corrupted democracy. Yet, you dumb fucks think this is the only reality. Asia and Europe do not look inward like the US does. They are too worried about appearances. This is especially true in Asia. One good result of the extreme anti-American negativity of the net is that problems are exposed and can be dealt with. Some problems are not fixable but if they are admitted to, they can be mitigated and adapted to. Asia and Europe will continue with the same failed behavior delusionally.

    “Let Them Howl, Boris!”
    https://tinyurl.com/y3ns53y6 unz via zero hedge

“Facing a Parliamentary majority opposed to a hard Brexit – a crashing out of the EU if Britain is not offered a deal she can live with – Boris Johnson took matters into his own hands. He went to the Queen at Balmoral and got Parliament “prorogued,” suspended, from Sept. 12 to Oct. 14. That’s two weeks before the Oct. 31 deadline Johnson has set for Britain’s departure. The time his opposition in Parliament has to prevent a crash out of the European Union has just been sliced in half. His adversaries are incensed. The speaker of the House of Commons called Johnson’s action “a constitutional outrage.” Johnson’s Tory Party leader in Scotland resigned. Labor Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn said Parliament will start legislating Tuesday to block Johnson. There is talk of a no-confidence vote in the Tory government. One recalls the counsel Benjamin Jowett, Master of Balliol, gave his students: Never retract, never explain, just do it and let them howl! For Johnson has done what he was chosen, and pledged, to do. Though he lacks a majority for a “no-deal Brexit,” his suspension of Parliament keeps faith with the hardline Tories who put their trust in him — that he would honor his commitment to get done by October’s end what the British people voted to do in 2016. Whatever may be said of him, Johnson has shown himself as a man of action, a risk-taker, a doer, like Trump, who has hailed Johnson for the suspension. And leaders like Johnson are today shouldering aside the cookie-cutter politicians to dominate the world stage.”

“Florida Nuclear Plants Ready to Shut Down as Dorian Threat Looms”
    https://tinyurl.com/y47bwafm Bloomberg

“Florida’s two nuclear plants are ready to shut down if forecasts show hurricane-force winds hitting the facilities when Dorian finally moves on shore. Both plants — St. Lucie, north of Palm Beach, and Turkey Point, south of Miami — sit on Florida’s Atlantic coast, and both lie within the possible path of the storm. Their owner, NextEra Energy Inc.’s Florida Power & Light, has been preparing since Monday for the possibility of shutting down the plants, said spokesman Peter Robbins. It’s poised to do so once forecasts predict hurricane-force wind speeds at the sites, he said. “We do it in advance,” Robbins said. “We don’t wait.” Dorian’s path, however, remained uncertain enough Friday that FPL hadn’t yet made the decision to power down. “We’ve seen the path and intensity of the storm change a lot,” Robbins said. “Like most hurricanes, it’s got some tricks up its sleeve.” The company, Florida’s largest utility, temporarily closed both facilities in 2017 as Hurricane Irma bore down on the state. Should FPL shut down the plants for Dorian, they would remain offline until the storm had passed and the facilities had been inspected, Robbins said. The company also would consult with local and federal officials before restarting operations.”

“Here cloggo, taste some of Buchanan you love to quote so often…of course when he is anti-Americana.“

Are you sure you can really look at the bottom of Buchanan’s soul? Buchanan is a white nationalist. He understands the JQ and had called Congress “Israeli occupied territory”

    https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2015/01/18/393684/Congress-is-Israeli-occupied-territory

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1990/09/20/pat-buchanan-the-jewish-question/bfc8e956-316d-4abb-b33b-97aace0b80d0/

    “PAT BUCHANAN THE JEWISH QUESTION”

And when did I quote “anti-American” statements made by Buchanan? I admit I would, problem is Pat doesn’t make these kind of statements.

For me PB was a stepping stone into what Americans call “white nationalism”:

    https://www.amazon.com/Death-West-Populations-Immigrant-Civilization/dp/0312302592

“The Death of the West: How Dying Populations and Immigrant Invasions Imperil Our Country and Civilization”

Now, I admit I’m a big fan of “the death of the West”, so we in Europe get the chance to take the lead again. Europe gave you independence, but white America, that is people like you, f* up big time. You are not worthy of independence as you handed it over to the youknowwho.

Trust me, you are better off in a geopolitical construct that is dominated by [violins] The Mother Civilization, than you ending up in Gulag 2.0, with this time anonymouse types guarding you.

Regarding Pat… he basically called WW2 a “war of choice”, a euphemism for the US setting up Europe and Japan.

    https://www.theamericanconservative.com/2011/12/05/did-fdr-provoke-pearl-harbor/

    https://www.amazon.com/Churchill-Hitler-Unnecessary-War-Britain-ebook/dp/B0011UGM3W/ref=sr_1_1

PB will never go the last mile, as he wanted to remain invited by the media. So he calls WW2 a “colossal error of judgment” rather than what it real was: a kosher war against the core of the white race, carried out by the dummies of the white race.

PB knows all these things but won’t formulate them as harsh.

Regarding your original link, PB could very well be in favor of Brexit for exactly the same white nationalist reasons I’m in favor of Brexit, namely remove the English saboteur of European civilization from our midst and pave the way for an Aryan alliance PBM and finally get the upperhand over ZOG, errr “Israeli occupied territory”.

Yep, the multicultural society is not for the faint-hearted.

Or as jew-boy and leader of the Paris-1968 revolution Cohn-Bendit gloated:

“Die multikulturelle Gesellschaft ist hart, schnell, grausam und wenig solidarisch, sie ist von beträchtlichen sozialen Ungleichgewichten geprägt und kennt Wanderungsgewinner ebenso wie Modernisierungsverlierer; sie hat die Tendenz, in eine Vielfalt von Gruppen und Gemeinschaften auseinanderzustreben und ihren Zusammenhalt sowie die Verbindlichkeit ihrer Werte einzubüßen. ”

(“The multicultural society is hard, fast, cruel, and lacking in solidarity. It is characterized by considerable social imbalances and knows winners of migration as well as modernization losers; it tends to diverge into a variety of groups and communities, forfeiting their cohesion and the binding value of their values. “)

And of course this criminal had the same convictions as Epstein, or you, mobster: white children need to be sexually exploited:

“Die Sexualität eines Kindes ist etwas Fantastisches. Man muss aufrichtig sein, seriös, mit den ganz Kleinen ist es etwas anderes. Aber wenn ein kleines fünfjähriges Mädchen beginnt, Sie auszuziehen: Es ist großartig, weil es ein Spiel ist. Ein wahnsinnig erotisches Spiel.”

(“The sexuality of a child is something fantastic. You have to be sincere, serious, with the little ones it’s something else. But when a little five-year-old girl starts to take her off, it’s great because it’s a game. A crazy erotic game. “)

    https://de.m.wikiquote.org/wiki/Daniel_Cohn-Bendit

Its time for some XXL counter cruelty.
And the fun is about to begin.

Westerplatte, as we all remember, was the place where according to American wisdom, “Germany started WW2”, leaving notoriously noble Americans and Soviets no choice but to intervene on humanitarian grounds and, while they were at it, colonized entire Europe, just to be on the safe side, a process aka liberation and paving the way for kosher-invented goodies such as bolshevism and multicult.

Our European gratitude knows no bounds.

“cloggo, you have not been crowing about Italian politics lately. Seems your dreams have been crushed down there. LOL. You weave a tapestry of fantasy that over time evaporates into little more than absurd conclusions.”

They haven’t. Salvini is sidelined, but friend and foe agree that it is only a matter of time before he will crash back into Italian politics, at the next election, which in Italy usually means within a year.

But for impatient Americans like you, three months is already too long a wait.

    America: easy come, easy go.

Besides, I repeat I am NOT interested in a populist takeover. I want them to be strong enough to make an impact, like in Austria. The best thing is a government of senior Christian-Democrats and junior populists, like in Austria. The European borders need to be closed, but the EU needs to stay together. Hence CDU plus AfD.

“Dershowitz: The Dangerous Stalinism Of The “Woke” Hard-Left”
https://tinyurl.com/y2ryvvnz gate stone institute via zero hedge

Civil liberties are in greater danger today from the intolerant hard-left than from the bigoted hard-right. This may seem counterintuitive: There has been far more violence — mass shootings in malls, synagogues and other soft targets — from extremists who identify more with the hard-right than with the hard-left. But the influence of the hard-left on our future leaders is far more pervasive, insidious and dangerous than the influence of the hard-right. People on the “woke” hard-left seem so self-righteous about their monopoly over Truth (with a capital T) that many of them see no reason to allow dissenting, politically incorrect, views to be expressed. Such incorrect views, they claim, make them feel “unsafe.” They can feel safe only if views they share are allowed to be expressed. Feeling unsafe is the new trigger word for demanding censorship.

No university student has the right to be safe from uncomfortable ideas, only from physical threats, and any student who claims to be in physical fear of politically incorrect ideas does not belong at a university…We often forget that the concept of “political correctness” originated in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where Truth — political, artistic, religious — was determined by the central committee of the Communist Party and any deviation was regarded as unacceptable…That is why I make the controversial claim that today the “woke” hard-left is more dangerous to civil liberties than the right. To be sure there are hard right extremists who would use — and have used — violence to silence those with whom they disagree. They are indeed dangerous. But they have far less influence on our future leaders than their counterparts on the hard-left. They are not teaching our college age children and grandchildren. They are marginalized academically, politically and in the media. The opposite is true of hard-left Stalinists.

You are impatient one cloggo. Tomorrow is always today for you. You spend your life with the cart in front of the horse. You weave a tapestry of what turns out to be fake news. Not all of it cloggo but your overall story is an exercise in cherry picked news that presents a story not reality.

In European politics the social-democrats are gradually being replaced by populists, the new party for the “small guy”:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-germany-elections/earthquake-elections-in-east-germany-could-jolt-merkels-coalition-idUSKCN1VL0SX

Three political main streams emerge in Germany and an estimate of their size:

    – CDU: business and pro-Europe party 30%
    – Greens: environment, energy transition 20%
    – AfD: patriots 20%

A real breakthrough would be a CDU-AfD coalition in one or more East-German states. Berlin doesn’t want that but at some point won’t be able to block it.

You know everyone, now that I stop and think about it for just a second, I just realized after I typed my comment @ 4:23am criticizing juanpee for being up all night, probably sounds, well, kind of stupid and hypocritical of me. If you look at my own post times that is. Please dont look at my own postings time-stamps. Doubly so when all you see is me pointing out what a dumbass jaunapee is even earlier. I know, it makes me look like a bit of jackass, but what can you do? Being a moderator is a 24/7 job, and I how can I be expected to moderate extremism if I actually, slept myself. Answer, you can’t. I can however, stay up all night, and morning, telling someone else that probably does not even exist, to go to bed. Because that is what moderators do. I try to moderate extremists sleep schedules. I learned that at moderator skool.

Now, I need to run Into Bologna to pick up some Bologna. I like Bologna. I would say I am 99% Bologna by body weight actually. I will back to moderate any more fake posts by myself or juanpeee after my bologna run.

  49. Davy on Sun, 1st Sep 2019 5:53 am

    Please forgive the oversight, friends.

I not only moderate but I also NEUTER. Moderate and neuter go hand in glove.
