Terrorists Launch Rocket Attack at Commercial Ship in Suez Canal
An Islamist terror group has taken responsibility for a Saturday rocket propelled grenade (RPG) attack on a merchant ship transiting the Suez Canal, USNI News has learned.
A video posted on YouTube Wednesday — alleged to have been issued by the group Al-Furqan along with a letter of responsibility — show two men with rocket propelled grenades fire at least one RPG round into the side of a cargo ship bearing the markings of the Chinese merchant shipper Cosco.

Interesting it was a chinese ship that was hit. Makes you wonder if it was the shadowy cabal of global terrorists known as Al-CIA-DuH that were behind it.

Those rpgs looks like gnats bites on an elephant… It doesnt look like much damage other than – lets weld on a few new steel plates taking a couple hours in a chinese harbor.

Granted that an RPG hit on a container ship makes for less than visually spectacular TV, but it can still do damage and risks the crew’s lives. But I think this was just meant as a reminder of how easy it is to bung up the Suez Canal tighter then my grandpa’s colon. If the Straight of Hormuz and the Suez were to go down at the same time, firing off all those groovy cool shiny stand-off weapons discussed here yesterday would do very little good for the global economy.

According to Kerry there is no Al Qaeda in the middle east. So this was peace and democracy loving activists making a protest against Chinese “human rights abuse”.

Amazing how the world has gotten to the point where two men and a handheld weapon can take down a major shipping route in minutes. A reminder of how fragile our world economy really is and how even the “Great America” cannot prevent it with their trillion dollar military budget. Two choke points, a few missiles and men and the world basically come to a halt.

Hmmm, I wonder what Americans would do, if someone was occupying their country? Sit back and take it up the ass? I doubt it.
