Two lords of cancer talking about profits, but never the externalities.

Pipeline rupture spews oil into creek 150 miles from Standing Rock

Breach of Belle Fourche pipeline highlights the potential for spills that could taint drinking water, an issue at the core of the Dakota Access pipeline protest

“Electronic monitoring equipment failed to detect a pipeline rupture that spewed more than 176,000 gallons of crude oil into a North Dakota creek, according to the pipeline’s operator, about 150 miles from the site of the Standing Rock protests.

The potential for a pipeline leak that might taint drinking water is at the core of the months-long standoff at the Dakota Access pipeline, where thousands of people have been protesting against its construction. That pipeline would cross the Missouri river.”

176,000 gallons of crude cancer profit down the drain. Who gives a fuck about the people who live there.

Seems like another instance of the cancer falling apart in industrial civilizations endtimes. Fancy electronic monitoring NFG either.

It would be possible to monitor properly,
but it’s cheaper to poison communities.
Besides if they can’t drink a 50:50 mix
of crude oil and water, then they are
Snowden loving liberals who deserve to get sick.

If confirmed by the Senate, Perry will inherit a department that has focused on promoting clean energy and reducing dependence on fossil fuels, but has also seen domestic production of oil explode. And his selection is a nod to the traditional GOP emphasis on energy sources like coal and oil.

Looks like the Trump will continue to invest in fossil dead-enders, giving European renewable energy industry a nice head start.

For diplomatic reasons I will shut up about what I think of that development.

Texas has been a leader in wind energy while Rick was at the helm. What might that mean is a better question. I think the guy is an idiot but there is more to it. Anyone have an example where he killed projects becuase they were wind or solar instead of being fossil fuel oriented?

The issue with oil is low demand growth for the globe after the Financial Crisis. Saudi, Fracking etc were set up for a $100 world where everyone still bought a gas guzzler when they landed that $600,000 mortgage. 7 guess the world changed. Cuts wont fix demand and higher oil prices will only impoverish consumers at a time of a stronger dollar. This is not good for global growth, its good if you have oil to sell though and market share. With this deal the pie gets smaller, people dont get a bigger share.

I really question Trump’s ability to form a government or to lead this nation at all, apparently we have posters here who are much more intelligent and could pick a much better team to lead this administration, I guess they should have run.
