Sarah Palin: ‘We Need to Keep Drilling’
“We need to keep drilling because if we don’t drill for a year, we’re going to be more and more reliant on foreign countries that have even less stringent environmental standards,” Palin told ABC News.
Millions of gallons of oil continue to spew into the Gulf from the rig, which exploded on April 20 and killed 11 people. The rig is owned by Transocean and operated by BP.
“We have got to hold these oil companies accountable,” added Palin, whose term “Drill, baby, drill” became a popular GOP slogan in the 2008 presidential campaign. “They cannot be lax at all in their preventative measures, and then our management and overseeing agencies in the federal government had better be doing their job in making sure that they’re verifying everything that these oil companies are telling them.”

When it comes to energy policy, Gov. Sarah Palin has the expertise & experience to lead this nation to peace, prosperity, & power. We desperately need her in the White House.

Spill baby Spill. Sarah Palin has learned nothing from the spill in the gulf.
We need to push ahead with alternatives to oil and move our country closer to energy security. Her drill at all cost mantra will not help the people whose lives have been sadly changed by this spill.

If it wasn’t for the fact that there’s too little out there to make a difference in terms of peak oil, if it wasn’t for the fact Palin is lying about depending on other countries since standards are NOT always lower elsewhere and thirdly, we don’t have to import more if we increase efficiency, wind, and concentrated thermal solar, and if it wasn’t for the fact she hasn’t a clue about foreign policy, bans books, lies about climate “always changes” when a few years ago she showed she knows the truth (that it’s always changed, the climate, but now it’s changing in new different, and human-caused, dangerous ways), and if the earth was as flat as her pro-corporate, short-term-profits uber ales, anti-science homophobic and corrupt politician past, then by all means, I agree, she’d be perfect for the whitehouse, dude, smart thinking…
