In the 70’s the Club or Rome was pushing the threat of global cooling and ice core samples show they were right. We have been in a cyclical cooling period and any warming seen of late has been from a cyclically cold period and can therefore not be used to determine that there is anthroprogenic warming as opposed to normal cyclical changes.

PM, What are your credentials in Climate Change ? DO you have a degree from a university in that subject area ? Are you an acknowledged expert ? Can we have a list of your publications in the scientific journals ?

to PM (or is that really Glenn Beck??)
97% of all climate scientists agree that we have MAN MADE climate change resulting in a overall warming of the planet. President Johnson was informed about the possibility of climate change due to burning fossil fuels in 1965, so this is hardly a new thing. Of course, I would guess you are more qualified on the subject that a group of highly qualified people who have dedicated their lives to this topic and tend to be of above average intelligence.
So please, show us how you are so much smarter than they are. Hey, why don’t you quote the scientist who say it is a hoax, the same guys who said smoking does not cause cancer, there is no acid rain, etc, etc. I mean, we would all believe them.

As you can see in the last chart, one asset that has kept pace with oil is gold. Gold may be the fall-back asset class in a peak oil world.

Peak oil production sure, but to keep mixing in AGW scares to ultimately push for global govvernment – NO THANKS

I am sure you know what the (thank God) failed Copenhagen treaty was trying to achieve.

    And I am sure you are familiar with amongst other David Rockefeller admitting this very openly;
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time
Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended
our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost
    forty years.”

“It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world
if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years.
But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a
world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite
and world bankers is surely preferable to the national
    auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

    and

“Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure — one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.”

And since I know yo uall love Lord Monckton I’ll ‘spam’ the space here with one more clip – a recent climate debate at the press club somewhere in Australia. Press of course tried their usual ad-hom and showed their ignorance by not having done their homework and Lord Monckton as usual swept the floor with press and depating oponent alike.

    PM,

I don’t get my information on global warming from YouTube videos. You discredit yourself by citing them.

You need to explain a buildup of CO2 in the atmosphere does not global temperatures to rise. CO2 absorbs energy reflected off the earth. It creates an energy imbalance whether by the Earth sends back into space less energy than it receives. Hence temperatures rise.

It would be nice if some of the people making the stuff that gets deposited here did some proofreading. Here we have:

“Converting resources to oil flows is ‘providing’ difficult?”

Very competent I must say. really gives the viewer confidence that the bozo who’s creating the video knows what he’s talking about.

  14. PM on Mon, 5th Sep 2011 11:17 pm

OMG are you still at the ‘feedback loop stage’. This has been long discredited as only having minimal impact and CO2 rise is more of a result of warming not the otherway around. Looks like sticking to old dogma is still the preferred way at PO.com
