Kunstler: What It’s All About Coercion

Public Policy

It’s worth checking out the YouTube video of this year’s semi-annual Munk Debate held in Toronto this spring. The proposition at hand: Be it resolved, what you call political correctness, I call progress…. For the pro position: Michael Eric Dyson, sociology prof from Georgetown U, and New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg; on the con side, Jordan Peterson, psychologist and U of Toronto prof, and Stephen Fry, British actor and screenwriter.

The debate quickly beat a path to identity politics, which make up the actual substance of PC, itself only a method of conveying the substance. PC acts as a filter for sifting out thought that doesn’t conform to orthodox ideology, and for punishing those who dare to express the filtered-out ideas. So, PC only allows for a narrow range of expressed opinion on identity politics. PC is literally thought-policing. It’s hard to imagine anyone being in favor of that, which is exactly why PC behavior is so odious to those of us who value free speech.

The orthodox view in identity politics these days is that “white male cis-heterosexual patriarchal privilege” is responsible for the discontents of women and “people-of-color” — a squishy, mischievous category which obviously doesn’t count Chinese grad students at Harvard or the Asian-Indians in the Silicon Valley C-suites — and demands reparations of one kind or another.

Mr. Peterson laid it out nicely: identity politics assigns everyone to ethnic, racial, and sexual groups, and all the human relations among them amount to never-ending battles for political power. Nothing else matters. Individuals especially don’t matter, only the group. And no group has abused its power more than European white men.

This animating idea comes out of the mid-20th century “post-structural critical theorists” Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault, whose Marxian views emerged conveniently at a time when women and non-white people were vying for departmental chairs in the college humanities and social science programs, and thus have two generations been indoctrinated.

Well, if human relations are solely about power, than exercising power over others is all that matters. Hence, the key to identity politics: it’s all about coercion, making others do your will by threat of force and force itself. These days, the main threat is depriving heretics and apostates of their livelihood. That’s what happened to Brett Weinstein at Evergreen U in Washington State last year, and to Jordan Peterson himself at the U of Toronto, when he objected loudly and publicly to a new Canadian federal law that sought to punish citizens who refused to use the new menu of personal pronouns for the rapidly multiplying new gender categories (e.g. ze, zir, they, xem, nem, hir, nir….)

Both Weinstein and Peterson refused to be coerced and found themselves inadvertently leading a movement against the pervasive, creeping coercion of our time — which has now spread from the campuses into corporate life, with the HR departments working overtime to enforce thought among employees, because company profits are at stake (e.g. Starbucks day-off for “diversity and inclusion training”).

Most of the sparks in the debate came off the friction between Dyson and Peterson. Dyson, who was ordained as a Baptist minister at age nineteen, relies on the tropes of the pulpit to entertain his audience (or his classes at Georgetown). That theatricality is well-suited to putting across dubious ideas with false authority. In the end, he resorted to plain old name-calling, branding Peterson as “an angry white man.” Peterson did appear deeply annoyed. I could certainly understand why. He’s been suffering the enmity of morons for a couple of years now. But he has them on the run. He’s onto their game and he’s unmasking their mendacious intentions. And offering a framework for understanding human relations that actually comports with reality. In what has been lately a reality-optional culture, that really hurts.

    Kunstler looks brilliant this week.
Clogster would be OK with the above, I think.

The most evil phenomenon is Hillary and
Merkel creating wide open borders to flood
countries with refugees. It’s those two bitches
    doing it.

That’s why Trump wouldn’t speak to Merkel at G7.

And that’s why I am donating to Trump in 2020.

He took some getting used to, but at this
point what Trump is up to, looks good.

Today Trump says “we are not a refugee camp”.
    Yay! Imagine that,
    Speak the truth.
    What a concept.

Another pleasant surprise, Alex Jones, in between
his vitamin pill ads, is explaining it all very nice.
That Hillary and Merkel are the globalists.

I am getting Alex Jones InfoWars by Podcast.
    To my smart phone.
No need for AM Radio, too many ads.

How about destroying/destabilizing these countries in the first place, maybe these people would have liked to stay in their home countries!?

“Clogster would be OK with the above, I think.”

You got that right. Kunstler maybe Jewish, but he has very un-Jewish opinions, he is basically “white”. Kunstler describes the fundamental weakness of US society and that is “diversity”, a potentially fatal weakness, although the Trumpert tries to prevent the worst by stemming the tide, but it is probably already too late:

    https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2018/05/21/european-america-is-over/

In 1965 organized US Jewry scored a major victory over European-America after they had pushed-through landmark legislation, opening the doors wide open for mass immigration from the third world.

    http://www.kevinmacdonald.net/immigration.pdf

The 1968 revolution in Europe ensured that the multicultural paradigm was transplanted to Europe as well when the leader of that revolution (((Cohn-Bendit))) managed to oust the last conservative giant president de Gaulle, who had opined that “Nous sommes quand même avant tout un peuple européen de race blanche, de culture grecque et latine et de religion chrétienne.

As Kunstler says: “white race” has become a dirty word, a development spearheaded by Jews, who intend to use the imported third world masses as a weapon against us, in order to destroy us and make us powerless:

    https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/09/27/paul-krugman-white-americans-are-losing-their-country/

If you want to know why millimind and co. were thrown out of nearly every country they dwelled in, here is the answer. I fully agree with Pat Buchanan that the US in its current shape has not much future and will simply fall apart at the first opportunity, like Yugoslavia of former fame. Diversity sucks big time, but its (((proponents))) knew exactly what they were doing: set up the next USSR, this time on western soil:

    https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/11/14/the-multicultural-society-is-hard-fast-cruel/

So this is the future of the US: either balkanized along ethnic lines (essentially the liberation of whitey) or a Jewish-run dictatorship nightmare, like in the USSR. I am still grateful for Dolfie that he kicked most of them out of Europe.

So how does the future world looks like? Either one of those:

    https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/09/26/which-future-world/

Fashy Europe is going to be populist anyway, enabled by Trump, Brexit and the Putin-revolution in Russia.

The open question is America: are the euro’s there seriously going to revolt or not? That is the question.

White life or death?  Yids push for our death.  Cloggie is right.  The Marxist-nihilist left controls the levers of power, and most Whites have succumbed.  With billions of dollars in Sörös bribes having corrupted Congress, the masses fantasize that we live in a “democracy,” just like they believe in fables about a Garden of Eden, a Hebrew “Exodus” from Egypt, a Jewish fanatic who was killed and then rose from the dead, and many other fairy tales.

The most recent nonsense is the absurd notion (reinforced by the president today) that we are going to terraform, and settle on, the planet Mars.  Clearly this is an attempt to distract the ignorami from earthly politics, although the rocket manufacturers are orgasmic over the prospect of the government billions to be sluiced their way.  If the masses swallow the lie that ThirdWorld sludge deserves to take over America and Europe, or that the PC crowd destroying the universities is the mouthpiece of a Jew-invented god, they will accept anything.

Given this mass brain embolism, the only real hope is Vladimir and his new weapons systems.  The alternative is the termination of evolution.

It’s ALL about $$$$. For instance, the Us “war on Drugs” has made it a $70B /yr. business. Treating drug abuse adds to the GDP. Drug death costs add to the GDP. Burisla cost add to the GDP. Etc.

“…would lift the IMD exclusion, a ban on federal Medicaid money for mental health treatment, allowing adult opioid users to stay at a bed in an institution for 30 days. ($$$$)

Expanding access to opioid treatment would likely do the most to help improve conditions for addicts on the ground. But as it stands, having access to treatment isn’t enough – because nearly all research shows that substance-abuse treatments like rehab are still deeply ineffective treatments for opioids.” ($$$)

BS, rehab is better than incarceration and decriminalization and rehab even better. This has been a European approach. A certain percent of the population is susceptible to addiction this has always been the case. This drug problem as gone up a little but not much compared to past times. You are being dramatic and blowing this out of proportion to enhance your agenda the US is failing.

Ever more EU politicians understand the signs of the times and the threat of populism and the need that something needs to be done.

New convergence of opinion: reroute gate crashers, err invaders, err migrants, err refugees to a location OUTSIDE of the EU and process their application there, which in practice will lead to perhaps 1-2% acceptance and the rest toodeletokie.

Now the EU president Donald Tusk has chimed in and expressed support for the idea. This no doubt is strongly connected to the showdown in Germany between Merkel and rising populist anger with her and her repopulation efforts.

Merkel, who is very pro-EU, is seen by Brussels as someone who needs to carry on. Hence the attempts to defuse the situation.

    To “Exceptionalisturd Davy”:

Turd, your thoughts reflect AND project perfectly like a mirror; the subconscious perceptions that are held about the Self. What you fail to comprehend is your frequent bullying and incessant assaults are a perfect reflection of your state of mind and how you feel about yourself on the inside. Your resentment and anger toward others reveals anger and contempt of yourself, rooted in jealously, fear, and a sense of failure with who you are, questioning your ability to aptly compete with others.

Turd, use this knowledge to become more self-aware and introspective. By doing so, you can diffuse inner conflict and confusion and become a pacifist of the mind rather then a bellicose, xenophobic, and hateful Trumptard of the mind.

    Clean-up your act, now.

You are being dramatic and blowing this out of proportion to enhance your agenda the US is failing.”

We know Davy is right based on American experience and the Portugal model. In 2001, Portugal became the first European country to officially abolish all criminal penalties for personal possession of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. Hardliners in favor of continued imprisonment warned decriminalization would open the country to “drug tourists” and exacerbate Portugal’s drug problem; the country had some of the highest levels of hard-drug use in Europe.

The Cato Institute published a paper in April and found that in the five years after personal possession was decriminalized, illegal drug use in Portugal declined by a staggering 39% and rates of new HIV infections caused by sharing of dirty needles dropped, while the number of people seeking treatment for drug addiction more than doubled. Additionally. the savings to taxpayers and society are substantial- the courts are no longer backlogged, the prison population has declined by 36%. The savings amount to an annual savings of $389 million.

  18. Makati1 on Tue, 19th Jun 2018 6:00 pm

Derhund: Funny that the increase in drugs really began about the time we took over the world’s largest drug growing country, Afghanistan…and we are still there protecting the poppy fields. Funny that prescription opiods are increasing at an epic scale in the Us at the same time as the economy of the Us is being destroyed. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

If what you and Delusional Davy claim is true, why isn’t this happening in the rest of the world? Especially in poorer countries with more reason to use drugs? Yes, they have always been here, but not in the quantities that we see in the Us today. It is a sign of more than just normal use. It is ALL about $$$. Treatment adds tens of billions to the US GDP. Prevention will not.

“Countries like New Zealand, USA, Australia, France, and Germany especially face that very problem where prescription pill popping has been deemed close to a recreational epidemic instead of people using them for medicinal purposes.”

    https://www.whichcountry.co/which-country-has-highest-drug-use/

Notice that the top ten countries for drug use are Western countries and not one Asian country. The West is deliberately being destroyed by TPTB.

A “savings” of ~$400M vs annual sales of well over ~$150B is not even a rounding error.

    Death rate per 100,000 population:
    US – 10.21 #5
    Ps – .80 #128

    http://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/cause-of-death/drug-use/by-country/

BTW: The Cato Institute is just another Us propaganda mill, supported by the government. Not a source for facts. And, no, I did not read Davy’s long bullshit rants. I don’t pay attention to deluded goatherds, likely on drugs himself.

unemployed persons declined to 6.1 million.”

    https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/empsit.pdf

“The ShadowStats Alternate Unemployment Rate for April 2018 is 21.5%.”

    http://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/unemployment-charts

Who is correct? I say Shadowstats. Their numbers are logical and historically based, not fudged to keep the serfs docile. Also are indicative of the current economy in the Us. Depression.

Beware facts/stats Der. Especially if they come from the government or Wall Street.

  23. Davy on Wed, 20th Jun 2018 4:16 am

“The seasonally-adjusted SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate reflects current unemployment reporting methodology adjusted for SGS-estimated long-term discouraged workers, who were defined out of official existence in 1994. That estimate is added to the BLS estimate of U-6 unemployment, which includes short-term discouraged workers.”

Yea, 3rd world but we can reasonably say some of these people do not want to work so the 21% is just saying people who could work that are not in the active workforce. This indicates a higher level of alternative employment activity also as well as inactivity. It doesn’t mean a depression. You need some more statistics to indicate and depression. More dubious 3rd world economic theory.

  24. Cloggie on Wed, 20th Jun 2018 5:49 am

Merkel is now the hunted, the CSU the hunters.

Merkel is fighting for the survival of her government, she has 2 weeks, for which she is dependent on her more conservative sister party from Bavaria. It is clear that the CSU is busy executing a coup, not (yet) against Merkel as chancellor, but against her open door “refugees” (almost always young virile fighting age men). They have to, otherwise they will be punished by the Bavarian voters in October and for a significant extent replaced by the AfD and end decades of absolute majorities in Bavaria.

In the worst case and in theory, Merkel could replace the CSU with the Marxist Greens, but this could be too much for too many within the CDU itself.

Yesterday the result of a poll was released stating that 40% was behind Merkel and 40% behind the CSU, which illustrates the enormous threat the CSU has against the Merkel-CDU: break the union CDU-CSU and expand over entire Germany. For many conservatives voting for the AfD goes to far, but as many conservatives have great reservations with the direction the CDU headed under Merkel. If the CSU would expand over Germany, they could easily recruit from many experienced, more right-wing leaning CDU party-members.

    Expected voting-pattern:

CDU 22% (down from 33% now)
    CSU 18%
    AfD 14%

If the CSU would refrain from excluding the AfD, together they would have 32% and be the dominating force in Germany, with
    CSU – conservative pro-Europe party
AfD – Heimat party, euro-skeptic, but unable to threaten the EU

Now Merkel is forced to tour around Europe in order to define a Europe-wide immigration policy. She will also visit Orban. Most political commentators opine that she will not be able to find a common policy, unless she backs down with her open door policies.

A possible solution has been hinted at by Eu president Tusk, French president Macron and others: prevent invaders from landing in Europe in the first places, but forcefully pick them up and bring them to asylum processing centers in Northern Africa and let only convincing cases in (1-2% at max). Perhaps even Eastern Europe and Orban could live with that.

    http://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/angela-merkel-plant-offenbar-informelles-asyl-treffen-in-bruessel-a-1213975.html

More CSU pressure on Merkel by rejecting agreement Merkel-Macron regarding more funds for Brussels. Merkel needed to compromise here with Macron to get his support from asylum rules:

Wow, another big blow against Merkel: for every 3 Germans, 2 want a CSU that operates federal-wide according to a new poll:

    http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/csu-umfrage-mehrheit-wuenscht-sich-bundesweite-csu-a-1213968.html

    This would decapitate the CDU.

This means that we either have a very restrictive asylum-policy in place in 2 weeks time or Merkel will be gone, possibly in a CDU palace revolution.

And there is already a candidate waiting in the wings, the only one who dares to quietly criticize Merkel during the last few weeks: Jens Spahn, remember that name.

They wont permit a restriction on immigration. Thats not part of the globalists plan for a world of the ‘global citizen’. They want to create the illusion that world is ready for one world government through the UN and IMF and that the only way to do it is to destroy all sovereign countries. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, Venezuela etc are all on the list of ‘bad’ countries cause their governments act independent of the global order. The world reacts differently to them, on Korea and Russia (who are strong) they try to bring them into the fold (ala Neville Chamberlain ) on Iran, Venezuela etc (ie countries who cant wipe out US troops by the division) they threaten and isolate. None of this plan of theirs will work, not because they cant impliment it, but because it creates more of the very imbalances it claimed its trying to correct.
The world will be horribly impacted in the 10-20 years by overpopulation and water scarcity. Migration is inevitable consequence of poor planning and corruption in African and Asian societies. Liberals think (wrongly) that western powers have to try to sort this out by throwing open their borders and hoping that this will make everything better, only they are missing a very important point. Water scarcity is coming to a town near you too. Temperate zones will not escape, because drinkable water supplies are limited. Its very possible that we may have to get used to the idea that will daily witness masses of people on death boats and busses running the risk of death to break into a nation which may not exist in a 5 years (the EU). They are terrified of immigration reform because as soon as they try to close the borders they will have to impliment a system of border checks all over Europe to make sure they are tight. That obviates the idea that there is no free movement in the EU, and that’s true. Free movement is an illusion because while African and Asian people migrate they do so to only the richest countries or with the the most generous social welfare. Few migrants are dreaming of a tower bloc in Glasgow. Movement of Europeans within Europe has been limited to the well off and wealthy, and this is what Merkel is striving to preserve, not the needs of the common workers of Greece and Italy but of the well off elites of Europe who want to own property everywhere in Europe. Orbans country is neither rich nor powerful and is being asked to throw away a thousand years of its proud native culture and people because Soros thinks there’s not enough Africans living there. Soros won’t be happy until Israel is totally surrounded by majority mixed countries that he thinks his people can divide and rule against. Such policies always backfire. It happened in 1914, 1939 and is happening again now. The great settlement of Europe in 1946 by Roosevelt Stalin and Churchill of Germany for Germans, Poland for Poles etc led to almost 3 generations of almost total peace in Europe. That time is ending, thanks to multiculturalism and globalism, both arms of the AngloSaxon free trade model which always leaves areas for destitution and poverty and areas of extreme wealth. Americanist ideas of protecting markets and trading between nations died when the petrodollar replaced the gold standard now we will see the result of nearly 50 years of free trade.

Separation of children from parents is not that different from forcing rodents to frequently adapt to a new set of peers by repeatedly moving them from one cage with one set of rodent peers, to a different cage with a new set of rodent peers. This technique is used by psychologists to artificially stress rodents.

Rodents stressed in this way do poorly in the future. They become overly fearful and don’t adapt well in the future. In fact, this problem seems to be transferred somewhat to future generations through epigenetic inheritance.

Uruguay’s team defeated Saudi Arabia, and both Russia and Uruguay have qualified to move on to the next stage. Egypt and Saudi Arabia have been disqualified. Now, the upcoming match between Russia and Uruguay becomes less important and both teams are likely to take it easy to save energy and prevent injuries that could affect them negatively in the second round. GO RUSSIA! GO URUGUAY!

They wont permit a restriction on immigration. Thats not part of the globalists plan for a world of the ‘global citizen’.

joe apparently missed that the “globalists” are on the way out, with Trump in office, Putin, European populists in Hungary, Italy and Austria and soon in Germany and Cina on the rise. And Merkel could fall any minute now.

The NWO is over, they admitted it themselves:

The question now is: who gets what from the US empire?

Here is somebody from the loony left, like you millimind:

““WE SHOULD RIP BARRON TRUMP FROM HIS MOTHER’S ARMS AND PUT HIM IN A CAGE WITH PEDOPHILES AND SEE IF MOTHER WILL STAND AGAINST THE GIANT ASSHOLE SHE IS MARRIED TO. 90 MILLION PEOPLE IN THE STREETS ON THE SAME WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY. F-CK,” Fonda tweeted.”

I can’t imagine that the Trump voters would volunteer to return to that leftist lunatic asylum after Trump in 0-6 years, which would be for ever, given basic US demographic facts:

The Dutch media, still loyal to the pre-Trump empire, to their horror are observing that Trump is actively supporting the European populists:

    https://www.volkskrant.nl/nieuws-achtergrond/waarom-trump-de-europese-populisten-omarmt~b2ed480b/

So much for local village idiot millimind’s pipedream that the neocons have encapsulated Trump. They haven’t.

Trump has refrained from using the word “conservative” as too old-fashioned. He actively wants to defeat the old post-1968 leftist, liberal, globalist order. He wants rapprochement with the European populist right and Putin-Russia and to help toppling Merkel. The old guardians of the NWO in Washington, NYC and London are powerless and foaming at the mouth, but waiting for an opportunity to topple Trump.

Trump wants to make America great again which is not going to happen. Trump is an opportunist as most business men are not a visionary thinker. He does have a plan though. He is not a politician in the traditional sense. Ultimately Trump is out for Trump as all egoist (like you) are. Yes this is a fight with the old world order but don’t make it into something it isn’t. It does not dovetail with your agenda and your fantasy future. You are a fraud.

Seehofer, CSU-Bavaria and German minister of the interior, has increased the stakes by warning Merkel against sacking him, because it would mean the end of the coalition.

    http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/horst-seehofer-warnt-angela-merkel-vor-entlassung-a-1214302.html

In the run-up to the meeting with Merkel, has Hungarian PM Orban made it clear that he is not in the mood for a compromise with Merkel, now that he has changed the law to the tune that it is no longer possible to apply for asylum if the “refugee” is entering from a safe country. And since all Hungarian neighbors are safe, nobody will be granted asylum.

And also populist Italy is not inclined to do Merkel any favors:

“With a little luck she (Merkel) is gone in July.”

Good. May she burn in hell. There are plenty of young German women that will no doubt dance on her grave. She will be remembered in much the same way as Emperor Nero is remembered: Fiddling whilst Rome burned.

You have no idea how bad it is here, jeez, beggars everywhere, I have a Roma family of 12 allocated to me and are camping in my frontyard and who shit on the pavement. We have blackouts all the time. You cannot go out after dark. Horrible, all.

Trump’s immigration scheme is just smoke and mirrors to excite his base. If you are against immigration just jail a few high profile CEO’s for just a few days and lable them unpatriotic in a few tweets. Within days millions of jobs filled by immigrants would go away.
Trump is a showman using the media to make noise but allowing the vast majority of illeagls to continue on.

That is true..I read in Reuters a few weeks ago..Trump and his homeland security expanded the H1B Visa program by several thousands..And Reuters said it was because businesses were complaining they were on the road to ruin..And right now the US government is taking in 5 times the amount of legal immigrants than what is coming through the border..And the right controls all branches of government and they aren’t doing shit about that..

    Wrap-up of today’s news…

The great neoconservative thinker Charles Krauthammer stopped smoking for good at 68. Thanks for being with us Charles, also on behalf of 1 million Iraqi’s killed. May Jahweh have your soul.

    http://www.spiegel.de/kultur/gesellschaft/charles-krauthammer-ist-tot-preisgekroenter-us-publizist-stirbt-mit-68-jahren-a-1214326.html

Norway is at it again. Electrifying the Norwegian car fleet is not enough, now inland flights need to be electrified as well, as of 2025:

    http://www.spiegel.de/video/norwegen-will-inlandsflugverkehr-elektrifizieren-video-99018560.html

Airbus warning Britain against hard-Brexit. The latter could mean a withdrawal by Airbus from the UK:

    http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/brexit-airbus-droht-mit-stellenabbau-in-grossbritannien-a-1214342.html

Seehofer is going for the gold and is in an attack mode. The European asylum system needs to be changed. If we can’t agree an a restrictive European policy, we need to act on a national level:

    http://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/horst-seehofer-ich-habe-die-europaeische-union-wachgekuesst-a-1214331.html

My comment: we do NOT need a European policy, which almost certainly would be “Marxist”. Here we need national egoism’s to prevail. The only European cooperation we need is a military one, namely European naval vessels patrolling the coast of Africa and intercepting invaders and throw them back onto the African coast, while systematically destroying the invaders vessels. You only have to do this a few times and entire Africa gets the message and the problem is solved.
