Kunstler: Blow Back

Public Policy

Is there any doubt that the Democratic Party will be blamed for the government shutdown brought on by the DACA showdown? They insisted on a DACA deal that would have enabled everybody-and-his-uncle in a DACA person’s family to migrate to this country, a formula known as chain migration. Did they really believe that would go over? Or is it just more identity politics posturing?

I’m not the first observer to point out that it looks like the Democratic Party puts the interests of non-citizens above everybody else in the country. That’s what will be remembered about this gambit at the polls in November. It also looks like an engineered misdirection away from the more ominous fast-developing story about political corruption at the highest level of the Justice Department and its subsidiary, the FBI.

Unlike the allegations in the slow-cooking Russian Collusion story — allegations so far uncoupled from evidence — there’s plenty of evidence that FBI leadership deliberately mishandled several concurrent Hillary Clinton inquiries and, along with other players in the giant NSA matrix, launched the Russia Collusion story to derail Donald Trump’s legitimacy in office. Former President Obama and his White House aides are implicated in these machinations. Whether you’re a Trump fan or not, this ought to raise troubling questions about the legitimacy of the FBI.

On Sunday, the FBI revealed that it had lost five months of text messages between Trump antagonists Peter Strzok and Lisa Page. The agency offered a lame explanation that “software upgrades” and “misconfiguration issues” interfered with the app that is supposed to automatically save and archive communications between officials on FBI phones. This was the couple who chattered about an FBI-generated “insurance policy” for the outcome of the 2016 election with Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. When will these three be invited to testify before a house or senate committee to inform the nation exactly what the “insurance policy” was?

The bad odor at the FBI seeps into several other areas of misbehavior involving Hillary Clinton, her campaign, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and members of the permanent Washington bureaucracy. Did the Obama White House use the Christopher Steele dossier, paid for by the Clinton Campaign, to obtain FISA warrants against her opponent in the election for the purpose of conducting electronic surveillance on him? Was the FBI abetting a Democratic Party coup to get rid of Trump by any means necessary once he got into office? Did the FBI conduct a stupendously half-assed investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server by dismissing the charges before interviewing any of the principal characters involved, granting blanket immunities to Obama White House officials, and failing to secure computers that contained evidence? Does the FBI actually know what then Attorney General Loretta Lynch discussed with Bill Clinton in the parked airplane on the Phoenix tarmac? Did the FBI fail to investigate enormous contributions (roughly $150 million) to the Clinton Foundation after the Uranium One deal was signed? Did they look into any of the improprieties surrounding the DNC’s effort to nullify Bernie Sander’s primary campaign?

These are some of the big questions that a nation not 100 percent distracted and misdirected will want some answers to. The even greater question is whether the USA’s institutional justice system remains sturdy enough to fairly inquire into all these things. It probably can’t happen without a deep house-cleaning at the Department of Justice and the FBI. For the moment, Trump is just observing the scene like the Cheshire Cat in his tree. Considering what a dope he is, it is one of the many miracles of his long and (so far) lucky life to have his enemies look even dumber.

One thing I wonder is how long this toxic political struggle can go on before the financial markets notice what it says about the country.

Deep State/Police State/Corrupt/Immoral/War mongering/Collapsing America. You could not get a better example of a third world government in action. The whole world is watching the decline and, like avoiding a pile of dog shit on the sidewalk, they are turning away, one country at a time.

  2. Davy on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 5:53 pm

“they are turning away, one country at a time.”

Sure mad kat and to what dog shit country are they turning to? Your dog shit Asia? LMFAO.

  3. Mad Kat on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 5:57 pm

Yep! They are turning to Russia and China. The real powers and the future. The US is committing suicide and it is obvious to anyone who observes current events with an open mind. That excludes you, Davy.

    Davy,

The fact is that China is buying up the allegiance of non-aligned and aligned countries in the Pacific basin. Close allies like NZ and Australia sell far more to China than the USA and the Chinese are starting to demand reciprocity in the form of geopolitical support.

The Chinese are using freshly printed US dollars that were used to buy “stuff” from China to buy favour.

Chinese firms are buying up all the strategic minerals in Australia and exporting their people to Australasia and growing their influence by every means.

Day by day Mr Trump’s America becomes more and more isolated. Even the NAFTA fiasco is playing to the USA’s opponents.

Does anyone within the US political situation realise what is happening?

The US is trying to get it’s first bit of high speed rail. Meanwhile:

“While California has been pulling teeth to finish the first phase of its train by 2029, China has relentlessly expanded its own bullet train network. In the same year that California voters approved its project, China fully opened its first high-speed rail line—75 miles (120 km) connecting major cities Beijing and Tianjin, with trains designed for a maximum speed of 217 mph (350 km per hour). California’s train would have a comparable cruising speed of 220 mph (354 km per hour). Now, a decade later, having already spent an estimated $360 billion (2.4 trillion yuan), China boasts 13,670 miles (22,000 km) of high-speed rail lines—greater than all other countries combined—and is in the process of laying down 9,321 miles (15,000 km) more by 2025.”

EI, “buying up allegiances” That is not very scientific way of putting it and overly generalized. Yes, they are an economic power house but so is the US or do you agree with mad kat and his “dog shit” description?

“The Chinese are using freshly printed US dollars that were used to buy “stuff” from China to buy favour.”
Again, more sloppy commenting and lending to your typical anti-American slant.

“Day by day Mr Trump’s America becomes more and more isolated. Even the NAFTA fiasco is playing to the USA’s opponents.”
Sure EI, the US is in decline and China rising but how much? Day by day is not very scientific. You need to get a room with mad kat.

“Does anyone within the US political situation realise what is happening?”
Sure we do. Does anyone in China realize what they are doing to their economy with excessive credit creation that is allowing all these purchases you are describing?

it is true that Republicans under trump are achieving several goals of dismantling US power. From gutting the state department, to moving embassy to Jerusalem, leaving Paris Agreement, NAFTA, tariffs, shredding regulations. After Bush the world breathed a huge sigh of relief with Obama and he worked to rebuild those avenues of soft power. I’m not sure there’s any going back after four years of this shitholing. In a way I’m glad – trump could finally give the lie about US as upholding the ideals of blah blah blah.

Yea, through the clinton crime family at the helm of the state department and whatever-it-takes for the NSA spy programs as a short list. Somehow I think Obama was a lie from day one and the Nobel prize. We thought he was doing right but he was actually one of the worst Presidents ever in regards to looking good with appearance but with slimy results.

“Is there any doubt that the Democratic Party will be blamed for the government shutdown brought on by the DACA showdown?” Of course there is! It wasn’t the Dems, it was big, bad Putin and the Russians! We all KNOW that!
I used to prefer the Democrats over the Republicans because I am a “progressive liberal” but I never liked Obama or the Clintons because they are such obvious compulsive liars. I never thought until the last elections that I would ever prefer the Republicans, but now I do. I know that the Republicans are retrograde, backward, sexist pricks, but the corruption in the Democratic Party is absolutely repulsive as is there sense of entitlement and feeling of superiority. I can understand perfectly well why Trump won the elections and Hillary lost; it was because a very large number of US voters found Hillary to be an unacceptable choice. If I had had to vote I would have voted for Trump, too. The idea of having Hillary as US President makes me want to jump out of my 18th floor balcony, I consider her the most repulsive person I’ve ever known of. I’d rather have Trump, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, Franco or Mussolini as US President than Hillary and I mean this literally. Hillary nauseates me; she has absolutely no redeeming qualities. I also want to say that the Democrats don’t appear to have learned anything from their mistakes.

  19. JuanP on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 8:22 pm

As far as the dreamers are concerned, I would like to see them get a legal status since they are not responsible for their parents actions. They already suffered enough by being uprooted as kids and taken away from their countries by their parents. I don’t think that the parents should be rewarded in any way, though. If the parents or other relatives are given papers they should be last in line behind all legal immigrants. The sad truth of the US immigration system is that it is broken and many immigrants that break the laws are treated better than law abiding ones; I know from personal experience.

  20. Boat on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 9:36 pm

    JuanP,

Funny on how all the leaders you mentioned would have killed the dreamers while Hillary would have given them a home with solar. This kind of radical thinking gives you foreigners a bad name.

  21. JuanP on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 10:11 pm

Boat, I consider the whole dreamers issue an insignificant distraction. Whether they live or die is completely irrelevant to me; I couldn’t possibly care less. It is irrelevant to the human condition and our present predicament. I am also most definitely not concerned with what others think about me. I think that a potential nuclear war with Russia is a more important issue than what what happens to the dreamers. I just see it as something that should be dealt with efficiently so that we can move on and focus on more important matters.

  22. Mad Kat on Mon, 22nd Jan 2018 10:46 pm

It’s a shame the uneducated hysterical masses support the industrialists plan to flood the west with low iq economic migrants. Always from shithole countries too. All we are doing is letting them get away with never dealing with their own countries problems. With climate change it is irresponsible to continue lying about the Wests’ability to be a lifeboat for every desperate family to move to. Insanity born of delusion and maybe (at one time) a good heart, but it really isn’t helping solve anything anymore.

Kunstler finally asking intelligent questions. Trump began as a kind of independent, with Bannon and the MAGA vision he stomped all over the Bushes and their neocon/CIA cronies, sadly the liberals are under the control of equally potent and dangerous business classes who used their FBI muscle to try and get Killary pushed into office, they totally side lined the achievements of Sanders and the Occupy movement when faced with the agenda of identity politics and fear mongering of the Killocrats. I never liked Gaddafi but ISIS sprung up from weapons transfers from Libya a nation destroyed by all western powers and the only American man capable of connecting the dots was sadly killed by al qaeda when he couldn’t get help from his country when he needed them on the anniversary of 9-11.

Kunstler is starting to ask the right questions but the black hole of morality into which such questions point can’t be faced by most people because the answers are so evil and black that the real truth is thus ‘we are human, that is all’.

“can’t be faced by most people because the answers are so evil and black that the real truth is thus ‘we are human, that is all’.” — joe

Bingo, joe. Humans today are still rather primitive and know almost nothing about the real truth* of the mechanisms behind the evil and blackness. The daily petty bickering and oneupsmanship here puts on display in plain view the workings of many such mechanisms. These same mechanisms drive the pettiness of the pursuit of greed, power and attention at all levels in all human activities, even providing me with a motive for this post.

(*or at least a better approximation than what they currently believe)

  30. Darrell Cloud on Tue, 23rd Jan 2018 8:09 am

A phase shift is underway. Even guys on the left like Kunstler are awakening to the fact that the agencies set up to protect the nation are nothing more than fiefdoms intent on serving their own self-interest. Their existence is all about self-aggrandizement and seizing power. Blackmail, extortion, and murder are all embraced to advance their agency agendas.
The planned false flags in Miami during the Cuban Missile crisis and the Phoenix Program in Vietnam should tell you all you need to know about the CIA. The FBI has been more public with its excesses. The Hoover files reveals an agency that is only interested in enforcing laws that bring it into the public spot light in a way that enhances FBI’s public image. The criminal activity of political assets is ignored and cataloged for future use as leverage. The fraud in the forensic labs is beyond parallel outside of Stalinist Russia or Nazi Germany. The roided up raids on Waco and Ruby Ridge exposes the de facto license to kill claimed by the agency. The comfort level in the DOJ with its enabling of the Clinton Crime Syndicate reveals that the Department of Justice is actually an oxymoron and is in fact rotten to the core. Treason and sedition are warmly embraced when those acts benefit the department. Little people are ruined for mistakes. Political assets are shielded from all accusation.
Any claim to moral high ground has been permanently shredded for these agencies. Lady Justice has been bent over the court house steps and raped. She is a sad broken creature that will never be the same.

Davy, the U.S. and the entire western world has been asset stripped by the Chinese. Between 1990 and 2010, the production parts of our economies were relocated, along with the technical knowledge required to carry it out. This made a fortune for the owners of capital, but it left western economies hollowed out shells. At the same time, consumption increased enormously, burdening the economies with huge unpayable debts. Now, the energy crisis is arriving on top of this.

I would strongly recommend reading the paper below. It outlines far more eloquently than I ever could, just how screwed we really are. I do not know if we can bounce back from this. The western nations have never faced a crisis quite like it.

I am not defending a dying system in the west, Antius. What I am doing is telling those who trumpet Asia as the new economic superpower as short sighted. Asia is one big bubble and the west an economic shell. I would also caution against generalizations. All economic regions have growth and decline. What is worse a bubble or a shell? The PDF is informative but it should be read with a similar look at the problems of Asia. I see no economic power today as healthy. I admire some more than others. I particularly admire Russia under Putin. I have the least admiration for China.

Exactly right kanon. Although since November 2016 the Reps have been hijacked back from the neocon-run deep state and, as Kunstler correctly observed, Trump has remarkeble.”stamina” in fencing off his many enemies and he still has not been JFK-ed.

    From your link:

“In his latest book, “In the Shadow of the American Century: The rise and decline of US global power,” Alfred McCoy writes about the tools used by the United States to maintain global domination and how its status is declining. McCoy predicts that China will replace the US as the dominant global power holder by 2030. We speak with him about US Empire, what the decline will look like and how it will impact people in the US and around the world.”

This is exactly what will happen: the rise of China to be the next #1. This will be THE major geopolitical event of the 21st century and will dictate the behavior of everybody else, to begin with Europe and Russia. Putin is quietly screaming to the Europeans: “let me in, I’m European, I’m scared to death by the Chinese!”

    https://documents1940.wordpress.com/2017/12/03/paris-berlin-moscow/

When China will take over from the US, there inevitably will be a moment of humiliation of the US by China in between. That will be the moment when Americans will realize that the American Era will be over for good and that Americans will need to reinvent themselves. And it is not difficult to predict how that reinvention will look like: white America attempting to break away from Washington and third world USA and rejoin European mainstream, sadder and wiser:

    https://documents1940.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/worldmap-multipolar-world.jpg

This is THE formula for white survival in the 21st century. Oh and in this way we will continue to be the first address on the planet. And “ownership of the white race” will be transfered from US Jews back to the, well, “white race”.

Rollback 1945 and to a limited extent even 1776.

Cloggie, every generation is less white. By 2100, if there are humans left on the plant, all will have some degree of permanent tan. That is four generations away. It may not take that long.

“Of that top 12, only 3 – the United States, Brazil and Philippines – are places I’d expect a racially diverse population (and in the case of the Philippines, I might be tempted to say ethnically diverse, rather than racially).”

True, many tribes have co-existed for thousands of years in the Ps that, at one time, were even kingdoms. Makes it interesting to live here. What America may have been like if the Europeans had not invaded in 1492 and the natives had survived and prospered like the Filipinos.

Cloggie, every generation is less white.

Under the reign of ZOG-USA, yes. Intentionally. But that entity is walking on its last legs, thank God (from a European perspective). After the USSR, the last Marxist shithole (©Trump) will be erased from the planet, by falling apart.

Every gardener knows that you can cut back a tree, but that very same tree can blossom again afterwards.

What we need for our survival is a new value system: post-Marxist, patriarchal, anti-multicultural, anti-Christian, race will be no longer a dirty word.

    We are going to:

    – radically close down our borders for third world invasion
    – stop being the Albert Schweitzer of the world
    – criminalize feminism and hedonism and easy sex
    – restore European family
    – nationalize media, broadcasting in the interest of the indigenous people, not Washington
    – invent a new “human right”, namely the right of ownership of a homeland, without being stalked by foreigners
    – rewrite the history of the 20th century, dropping the lies of the US empire
    – radical refactoring of industrial civilization to a more sustainable modus
    – systematically removing “neocons” from power (we Europeans are historically masters at that)
    – moving the gravitas of white civilization back to Europe from America

Oh and yes, we European peoples are going to set up a new empire, but not in the South (been there, done that), but upwards, into space.

  37. Mad Kat on Wed, 24th Jan 2018 2:11 am

Cloggie, I don’t see your future picture as being possible. It’s too late, I think. The EU native population is shrinking below replacement levels. TPTB know that that means a contraction of economy and a loss of power. They know that the only way to increase population is by immigration. The door will not be closed. It may even be opened farther.

Sounds sensible Cloggie. I would say that you and Trump see as one on many issues. But Europe of today is a long way from what you suggest. It is still under the stranglehold of the far left and there is no sign of the sort of unified plan of action you speak of within the nationalist right. What makes you think Europe stands any serious chance of going the way you (and I) think it should?

  39. Theedrich on Wed, 24th Jan 2018 5:10 am

Demonic Party gangrene has spread:  FBI, the State Department, the 3 state governments of the Left Coast, the crypto-Commies of the big cities, not to mention the many RINO Repubs, are all infected.  The stringpullers are megabillionaires, starting with George Sörös (originally Gyorgy Schwartz) and accomplices, whose aim is to reverse biological evolution on the planet.

The great danger in all of this is not merely that they seek by criminal means to unseat the current U.S. president, but that, in collusion with the CIA, the NSA and the Pentagon, they are aiming at subjugating Russia.  They are also secretly using nuclear blackmail (which Yankeeland has done everywhere since Hiroshima) to do so.  North Korea is a pawn in this game.  By demonizing NK they are indirectly demonizing China and Russia, which do not want a “regime-changed” U.S. puppet on their borders.

The easily foreseeable consequence of all this American corruption, arrogance and aggression is megadeath.  Brinksmanship and subversion in an age where the nuclear specter is multiplying its bases are the policy of planetary criminals.  Distraction of the masses by continual drivel about a supposed Kike “holocaust” and imagined past defeats of enemies of the Yid tribal god suppresses awareness of the increasingly imminent threat of nuclear Ragnarök.

But then, whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.

  40. Mad Kat on Wed, 24th Jan 2018 5:26 am

“Every gardener knows that you can cut back a tree, but that very same tree can blossom again afterwards.”

You can also damage a tree doing that. It is an art and an art not for an extremist. Doing it the Nazi way is going to kill the tree. All races and their various cultures have comparative advantage and legitimacy. How boring a world would be if it were all white European. This extreme racism here is just plain wrong. Racism as a benchmark is wrong. It is an intellectual lie. I know many people of color that are smart and good. I know whites and people of color who are trash.

What we need is good fences so we can be good neighbors. We allowed globalism to destroy everyone’s culture for a new and homogenized culture of muck. This includes white culture. I know of no white culture without it. In fact the white culture drove globalization at the expense of the cultures of all the people of color. Whites are a major part of the problem.

Crisis will change all this. We will put up fences and there will be a fight. I completely sympathize with white Europeans who want no more integration. I am against more immigration. Yet, racism is not the answer. It is a morally repugnant and a disgrace to human values. These moral repugnant feeling are present because people’s cultures are being destroyed. This must stop. Stopping it by calling other people inferior is not the answer. Telling other people to quit invading your culture is legitimate.

Good post Theedrich. The US is suffering from cultural inertia. The Demonics and their ‘Globalist’ media buddies fed people crap for a long time, and they started to believe it. It takes a while for cognitive dissonance to set in and for people to adjust to the new Zeitgeist. We have at least another three years of Trump presidency. Maybe that is enough time to root out the rot.

    “We are going to:”
You ain’t going to do shit but whine.

“– radically close down our borders for third world invasion”
You better radically stop your invasion and exploitation of the third world through your pursuit of affluence. You would be much poorer once this is done.

“– stop being the Albert Schweitzer of the world”
Who cares about a nobody like Albert Schwitrer. Sounds like Jew baiting and a racist edict or fatwa.

“– criminalize feminism and hedonism and easy sex”
Sure, you will just have it in the closet. Look at the homosexuality of the homophobic Nazi knights or the catholic clergy. There is cultural muck of feminism but would there even be feminism if women were not abused? These are two way swords. You can’t criminalize human behavior without descending into the corruption and extremism of totalitarian. This has never worked and Hitler is the best example of the extremism at its worst.

    “– restore European family”
Give me a break like the European family is something special above a Chinese or African family. This is racist rubbish.

“– nationalize media, broadcasting in the interest of the indigenous people, not Washington”
Medias are already nationalized and corrupt and this is much more than Washington. Washington is a good place to start and the world is already rejecting Washington. It is being replaced with its own indigenous versions of lies like the nedernazi is proclaiming here. This is just extremist Nazi racism at its worst.

“– invent a new “human right”, namely the right of ownership of a homeland, without being stalked by foreigners”
Give me another break. If you hadn’t exploited and destroy other cultures this would not have happen in the first place. You are now paying the price for your sins. Some of the price you must accept as you close your borders to more in desperation. Those who blame others for their own actions are the worst kind of cowards and liars.

“– rewrite the history of the 20th century, dropping the lies of the US empire”
More lies of the needs of censorship. A balanced reinterpretation of history with science and wise men is in order but please not racist Nazi extremist revisions to justify a doctrine of hatred and xenophobia.

“– radical refactoring of industrial civilization to a more sustainable modus”
    Wow, we finally agree

“– systematically removing “neocons” from power (we Europeans are historically masters at that)”
You Europeans are masters in destroying the earth and yourselves. We better find someone else to do that.

“– moving the gravitas of white civilization back to Europe from America”
Please spare me the victimization drama.

“Oh and yes, we European peoples are going to set up a new empire, but not in the South (been there, done that), but upwards, into space.”
Wow, what more vomit from a Nazi racist pig.

Cloggie, are you a racist? This is what’s going to happen. A black and white (using modern terms) Jewish man who raised from the dead will return to fix this or we all less maybe the cockroaches will be dead by 2100 from the gross mismanagement by Europeans of the world since 1500. Jesus saves, racist slave.

    @ Boat

At times, you demonstrate brilliant clarity like this,

    “JuanP,
Funny on how all the leaders you mentioned would have killed the dreamers while Hillary would have given them a home with solar. This kind of radical thinking gives you foreigners a bad.” name.

    @ Davy

“I used to prefer the Democrats over the Republicans.”

    “DITTO”

Unless this reply was made by a sockpuppet, this is the biggest line of BS yet.

    DerHund,

I ride the fence issue by issue so 1/2 are happy or mad.

    @ Cloggie

I respect your honesty and your ability to support a point of view. What disgusts me are those who go for the lowest hanging fruit by declaring racism, oh my! It’s all too easy to point with a sneering and contemptuous tone just to make oneself appear as a better human being when in fact it demonstrates the ultimate in hypocrisy.
