Martin Indyk believes US likely to go to war with Iran in 2013; says Israel’s insistence that US publicly declare ‘red line’ for Iran an ‘unreasonable requirement’
Former US Ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk predicts that the United States will go to war with Iran as early as 2013. “I’m afraid that 2013 is going to be a year in which we’re going to have a military confrontation with Iran,” he said in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
During the interview, Indyk pointed out that the time has not come, yet, for the US to take military action. “Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon. While there’s still time, there’s not a lot of time,” he said.
Indyk’s remarks came during a discussion with foreign policy experts on the latest protests in the Middle East and Israel’s public statements pressuring the United States over Iran.
As for the public dispute between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Barack Obama over Iran, Indyk said he does not think that “the difference between Netanyahu and Obama on this is that great, in terms of the President’s commitment not to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.”
On Israel’s insistence that Washington publicly declare a “red line'” that Iran will not be permitted to cross, Indyk said “that is an unreasonable requirement. The idea of putting out a public red line – in effect issuing an ultimatum – is something that no president would do,” he said
“If you noticed, Governor Mitt Romney is not putting out a red line; Senator McCain didn’t, either. And neither is Netanyahu for that matter, in terms of Israel’s own actions,” he added.
Richard Haas, president of the Council on Foreign Relations, echoed Indyk’s assessment that negotiations with Iran have not dissuaded the Iranians to halt their nuclear program. He said Netanyahu has sought to increase pressure publicly because “he doesn’t want these things to be drawn out indefinitely.”
Iran threat to whole world
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Monday that she believes that a political solution in the standoff over Iran’s nuclear program is still possible, but she added that Tehran poses a threat not just to Israel but to the whole world.
“I support a political solution … and I believe that we are not at the point where the search for political solutions has been exhausted,” she told a news conference in Berlin.
The European Union foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton will meet Iran’s chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili in Istanbul on Tuesday, a spokeswoman for Ashton said on Monday.

WOW! Little Iran is a threat, but the Empire isn’t? Herr Merkel, the new German Hitler wannabe, is another mouthpiece of the War Machine of the West and nothing more. Israel is bristling with illegal nukes and is threatening war, but Iran is at fault? Iran is a signatory of the nuclear agreement, Israel isn’t. If any of our grandchildren survive this lunacy, they will shake their heads and think we were all insane.

More sabre rattling by this British born jew with US passport Indyk. Merkel merely is a lapdog of the US and says what she is expected to say. In reality the contribution to the war effort in Afghanistan is modest if not symbolic, the contribution to Iraq was precisely zero. There will be no German soldiers invading Iran. It remains to be seen if there will be US soldiers on Iranian soil. Iran is prepared for what us coming. Bombing a few mountains will crush a few stones, but they can be repaired.lol Ad long as Iran permits

…permits inspectors to verify the signed international agreements, there is no moral case for any attack.

… And of course another jew Richard Haass, head of the CFR, and in this capacity the de facto real unelected president of the US, not Obama, chimes in as a clear indication what corner WW3 is coming from. And it was not any different in WW2, where the paid stooge and half American Churchill made sure that Britain was brought into war with Germany. Churchill headed the zionist lobby group called the Focus, founded in Amsterdam in the mid-thirties, lead by Shell CEO Waley Cohen, who wrote all the speeches of Churchill. WW2 was the preplanned gangrape of Europe and Germany in particularly by the US and USSR, enabled by British and French fools, who still were in the 1918 Versailles mode of thinking and had not noticed that there were two new kids on the block, both with global power aspirations, the US and USSR, who both cynically exploited this intra-European quarrel for their own gain. Germany was the Iran of those days, attacked from all sides, to start with by the Poles, who aspired and realized their aim of expanding their territory at the cost of Germany by ethnically cleansing 15 million Germans from their lands. The Poles pressed, because they felt supported by the three western allies, who in reality merely used Poland to start the war and after the war gladly handed Poland over to the loving care of Stalin.

Iran is not the problem, the evil empire is! And this is all about resources, aka oil. The US wants to take Iran’s oil.
And lastly, lets not forget, the evil empire has been at war, ever since it took this country from the Indians — remember there’s no profit in peace. Stupid humans.
