The Bureau of Land Management is auctioning off 18,000 acres of oil leases in California Wednesday. The state has one of the largest deposits of shale oil in the country. And it’s attracting new attention because of the drilling technique known as hydraulic fracturing – or fracking.

Ca. Is going to shake off the policies creating peak oil in their state? The enviro nuts will lash out like union thugs in Michigan.

It remains to be seen whether the Monterey Shale can produce significant oil. It’s not as good as the Bakken, from that standpoint. In tests so far, less oil can be extracted, even with extensive fracking.

They are fools if they let it happen. Fraking should be banned world wide.

SOS,
Policies do not “create” peak oil. Oil is a finite resource that will reach a peak in production, and then it will run out. You can hold your breath and cover your ears all you want, but you cannot change grade 4 arithmetic.
The “enviro nuts” care about the future of mankind and the planet that we live on. You obviously do not.
Thanks to the “union thugs” of our past, we actually have a middle class. Unfortunately with peak oil and peak resources, that is about to change.
