The Economist notes that we are probably going to see higher gas prices for some time since as opposed to 1990 the futures market for crude oil has gone way up. This article doesn’t address depletion but instead of blaming only terrorism or speculators like the mainstream media, it notes that it is also due to the under investment in the industry.
So close, yet so far.
