Petrol sales suspended in Eritrea

It’s said that the effects of expensive oil will be felt first by the poorest regions. Here is a poor country that has stopped the sale of petrol to the public since the country can’t afford the foreign currency to buy it!

Eritrea has banned the sale of petrol to the public because of the rising price of oil on world markets.

“Our priority is to provide petrol to public services and development programmes in the best interest of the nation,” Mr Ahmed told AFP news agency.
