3-way meet on Myanmar pipeline

Oil minister Mani Shankar Aiyar’s energy diplomacy has cracked the deadlock over laying a pipeline through Bangladesh for wheeling gas from Myanmar, with Dhaka asking for a trilateral meet in Yangon in January.

Bangladesh energy minister Mosharraf Hossain will sit with his Myanmar counterpart Brig-Gen Lun-Thi and Aiyar for two days on January 12 and 13 to find a way for overland pipeline.
