Wind farm rejection baffles wind energy industry

The wind energy industry is bewildered by the Federal Government’s decision not to approve a wind farm in Victoria’s South Gippsland.

The developer, Wind Power, is considering legal action.

Despite state approval two years ago, an application to build 52 turbines at Bald Hills near Tarwin Lower in south-east Victoria has been knocked back because of threats to the orange bellied parrot.
