What If…The Oil Runs Out?

The Science Channel is running a documentary about peak oil called What If: The Oil Runs Out? several times this week. Check your local listings.

Slowly a consensus has emerged. Oil, the lifeblood of modern societies, is going to peak then decline irreversibly. Oil will be used for decades to come, but the era of surplus, conventional oil is ending, and we are not prepared.

This show appears to be the same as this BBC documentary, which got pretty good reviews from peak oil types.
