But that date will be pushed back, BLM Washington spokeswoman Heather Feeney said.
The statement, which Department of Natural Resources officials have said sprawls through seven volumes, will outline how commercial oil shale production in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah will affect water supplies and the environment regionwide. Once the statement falls into the hands of the public, residents have three months to send the BLM their thoughts on it.
