Good video — gives an excellent overview of the problem and some of the solutions.
Our economy is built on cheap OIL.
Suburban living and driving an hour or more to work will become very expensive.
People will still have to go to work but the extra cost of transportation will take money away from everything else including mortgages.
We need choices for transportation other than OIL. Biofuels, electric vehicles, CNG as well as better mass transit and bicycle paths that make commuting by bicycle safer and easier.
Limited resources of oil, water and food will come head to head with the worlds growing population and the development of China and India.
Our economic security and national security require that we move to alternative fuels. Wind, solar, biomass and biofuels need to become a bigger part of our energy source each year.
Will our politicians act soon enough.
