Venezuela official sees OPEC output cut

Venezuela’s oil minister said Wednesday that he expects the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries will agree to cut production at their upcoming January meeting.

“Probably at the beginning of the year we will agree on a reduction in petroleum production,” Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez told reporters in Caracas. “We are not going to permit our prices to collapse.”
