US may not impose sanctions despite Iran pipeline

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has indicated that the US may not impose sanctions on India and Pakistan even if they go ahead with the gas pipeline project with Iran.

Although Rice reiterated her concern over the pipeline yet again Thursday, the underlying message seemed to be of working together with the two countries to resolve the issue without any precipitate action.
