Mark Maddox, the U.S. Department of Energy’s primary policy advisor on oil, coal and natural gas issues, announced his resignation Friday from the department.
Maddox has served in the Office of Fossil Energy since 2003 as the principal deputy assistant secretary for fossil energy. Prior to that, Maddox served as a senior policy advisor to then-Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham.
