Uganda: Power Outages Fueling City Fires

A new report suggests a link between the prevailing power outages and the ravaging fire outbreaks in Kampala.

The report, a compilation of the emergencies handled by the Fire Brigade for the last six months, attempts to explain the regular infernos in the city.

But the underlying cause for it all, according to Chief Fire Officer Joseph Mugisa, is the current energy crisis.
