U.S., Saudis Play Same Old Game

Saudi Arabia has never been one of my favourite places to visit. In the 1970s, I was arrested by the Jeddah religious police, threatened with prison, became deathly ill, and was whipped by Riyadh airport police during a riot.

Saudi Arabia has changed a lot since then but still remains a feudal monarchy run by 7,000 princes protected by the United States.
