(UPI) — Overall U.S. petroleum deliveries slipped 0.2 percent in July compared with last year, the American Petroleum Institute said Wednesday.
Increases for gasoline and distillate fuel oil failed to offset declines for jet fuel, resid and other products, the API said.
Deliveries of gasoline rose a strong 1.7 percent, despite higher gasoline prices. And deliveries of low-sulfur distillate jumped nearly 13 percent, bringing the hike in distillate fuel oil to more than 9 percent despite a decline for high-sulfur distillate deliveries.
