The U.S. and China, the world’s top two oil consuming nations, must work together to avoid a competition for foreign supplies that might lead to military conflict, U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman said.
..While the U.S. and China both depend on oil, neither can produce enough to meet demand, Lieberman said. The two nations must talk “more directly” about the competition for foreign oil “before the competition becomes truly hostile,” he said.
