Two Thirds Of Europeans Try To Cut Energy Use

The Energy Saving Trust say that around two-thirds (65 per cent) of European consumers claim to take direct action to reduce their domestic energy use on a daily basis. LogicaCMG surveyed more than 5,000 adults in Portugal, Spain and the Netherlands, as well as the UK, and found that 80 per cent of respondents were concerned about the threat posed by climate change, many feeling that they could still do more to make a difference.

However, in spite of being environmentally aware, it is the higher cost of energy that proves to be the factor most likely to persuade people to change their energy habits around the home.
