A fragmentation bomb ripped through petroleum pipeline in southeastern Anatolian province of Batman. The second bomb targeted the ruling Justice and Development Party’s town branch in central Anatolian province of Konya early Monday.
The first bomb exploded at a petroleum pipeline of Turkey Petroleum Corporation’s (TPAO) Batiraman facility in Batman province. The explosion caused leakage from petroleum pipeline but the fire was extinguished by firefighters in a short time. There is no casualty in the explosion and gendarmeries have taken extensive security measures around the pipeline.
TPAO officials said that there was no wide scale destruction in petroleum pipeline.
The second explosion occurred in the ruling Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) Seydisehir town branch in Konya province early Monday. The bomb left entrance of the party branch exploded while security forces were waiting bomb disposal experts.
