Wales needs showcase cycle towns for thousands of people to get regular exercise, but ministers are too focused on big projects like flights between North and South Wales, it was claimed yesterday.
That damning verdict was delivered by a transport expert who is helping to mastermind the bicycle’s rebirth in England.
Lynn Sloman, who lives near Machynlleth, Powys, is a board member of Cycling England, which aims to get “more people cycling, more safely, more often”.
