The Oil Drum Eur: IPCC Summary and Fossil Fuel

The IPCC’s Summary for Policy Makers suggests we can afford carbon emissions of approximately 490 billion tonnes to 2100 and keep atmosphere CO2 concentration below 450ppm. How much carbon is available in fossil fuel resources? Well, oil and gas reserves total barely half that allowance.
