Heat wave claims 111 lives in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh
As many as 66 people died in Telangana while 45 succumbed in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh. Most of the deaths were reported during the last one week.

Heat index soars to record 51°C
“The heat index of 51 degrees Celsius is just three degrees below what the weather bureau considers the “extreme danger” level when heatstroke is imminent.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) warned the country would continue to experience “generally warmer than average” temperatures in April.”

AP, we saw 99F yesterday in Manila.
Historical average for April is 93F high and 76F low, with 1.2 inches of rain.
Current month’s average is 99F / 75F and zero rain. Still have 17 days to go.
About like my home state of PA in late July and August. People adjust.
