Like many others who preceded us, our “civilisation” faces an Energy Crisis of megawattic proportions, which threatens to bring an end to our brief joyride.
But our dirty little secret is seldom mentioned in the news, let alone connected to economic instability or to environmental effects on our planet. It falls to Robert Foster to bring this topic back into the fore of our consciousness, where he conducts an incisive analysis of the situation to see what solutions are out there to deal with peak energy. Join your ever-curious anchor as he invites a panoply of guests – the great, the good, the bizarre, and the downright trollsome – along to share their solutions to this crisis. In the end, the shift required might have to be psychological as well as technological.
Enjoy the ride, fellow children of the industrial revolution.

Hilarious stuff as usual. Looks like all I need to do is buy some solar panels and I’m ready to go….

I agree, dump the junk, dump the chumps and live by the only real source of energy.

We dont have an energy production problem, but an energy CONSUMPTION problem. Two radically different propositions. Of course, we think we have a problem with the first one, and as usual, completely deny-or wont even consider the real root of the problem. Consider every single ‘solution’ we see trotted out here in these articles. Almost to a one-they ALL concern themselves with how to make MORE energy, or make energy, with just the slightest of modifications to existing systems. How many authors talk about our energy *consumption* problem? A few, here and there, but overwhelmingly, they focus exclusively about how some [insert wonder tech here] will allow the production of every greater quantities of energy.
We love treating the symptoms of problems in this day and age, but absolutely refuse to deal with root causes.

Haha nice! Catchy and dumbed down just enough so the zombies have a chance of understanding.

Actually, despite its tongue-in-check presentation, he touches on just about every problem we have-and cleverly too. Very few tropes and cliches escapes their wit. I especially liked the take down of the tech-NO-fix fantasy.(ie Branson and Musk). And the message couldn’t have been clearer when the amerikan ‘expert’ on the energy crises is a a general speaking on behalf of the white house. Clearly those guys have a much clearer grasp of who and how the US intends to deal with the ‘energy crisis’.
Hilarious video-a keeper for sure.

Filipinos live on 7% of the energy the US uses. Nuff said.

It is our economies that are destroying our planet.
