Texas is top state for alternative fuel

Texas had 966,365 alternative-fuel vehicles on the road in 2006, according to a report by the Auto Alliance, a trade group of nine automakers. More than half a million of those were diesel vehicles, 415,207 were flex-fuel vehicles and 22,453 were hybrids.
