Talisman predicts big payoff by 2009 from global fields

Calgary-based oil and gas company Talisman Energy Inc. says it’s aiming for a big increase in output by the end of the decade as it brings international growth projects on stream.

Developments in Talisman holdings, including fields in the North Sea and Southeast Asia, are expected to boost the company’s production to more than 600,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day by 2009, Talisman chief executive officer Jim Buckee said Thursday.
