The price of Brent North Sea crude oil struck a seven-month high of $69.59 a barrel this morning on concerns that current oil supplies may not meet demand.
Brent later stood at $69.20, up 48 cents from Thursday’s close. New York’s main oil futures contract was up 24 cents at $64.09 after surging by almost $2 late on Thursday.
