Straw rules out Iran military moves

Military action against Iran over its nuclear ambitions is “genuinely” not on the table, Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said.

Mr Straw said there would be “intense diplomacy” with an emergency meeting on February 2 and 3 to consider a referral to the security council. Britain is expected to lead calls for the censure and is backed by France, Germany and the US.
