State kicks off energy conservation campaign

The state of Connecticut kicked off a public education campaign Tuesday by calling on residents and businesses to cut their energy consumption.

The campaign comes during a summer of hot, humid weather and record-breaking energy use.

Taking such steps can save consumers between 10 and 30 percent on their energy bills.
