South Africa: Prices to Rise About 15%, Says Egoli Gas

The thousands of consumers who use gas as a source of energy face tariff hikes several times the 5,1% mooted for users of Eskom’s conventional coal-based energy.

Egoli Gas, which buys gas from Sasol and distributes it to more than 10000 customers in Johannesburg, said yesterday that prices could go up 25%-30% next month when it makes its annual price revisions.
